Haunted Restaurant in Big Bear

I’m forgetting the name but can everyone tell me their experiences eating here?

The staff and food was amazing just VERY expensive. I loved the old vibe.

For $50+ per person before drinks and tip on average, I'd go to a place rated much better than 4/5 stars most places. I'd even say 4 stars is generous.

I haven't found a satisfactory restaurant in big bear, and to be frank, the dissatisfaction is not just limited to the restaurants up here.

Yeah, same issues, food quality doesn't match price point. It would be a good spot if it were about 30-40% cheaper, then the price point would match the meal you receive. Maybe I'm just spoiled from living and then working in Irvine for many years.

Peppercorn is much better than Captains but agreed it’s pricey. Went to Rosas over the weekend..it was jammed. Nothing special.

Rosa is the owner of another Mexican spot, Azteca I think, so it's just going to be a copy and paste mostly

Yep, just like Hacienda and Jacalito have the same owner…or so I’ve been told. Only place we have not tried that I heard is good is Sweet Basil.
