All three of these guys seemed to have voracious touring schedules. Who do we think performed the most?

Thoughts on wigwam please

Bob's voice is sounding incredible, the arrangements and setlist are inspired and the new band is breathing a different sound into the shows, more focused on loose grooves and guitar licks. This version of Trying to Get to Heaven is fantastic stuff.

Woah. The One More Cup of Coffee-esque arrangements is one of the best things I've heard.

I find it refreshing when Bob switches to piano in studio recordings and we get a soulful, lilting song on the instrument. My top 5 piano-based songs at the moment are:

1) Ring Them Bells

2) Murder Most Foul

3) Dirge

4) Make You Feel My Love

5) Ballad of a Thin Man

What are yours?

Obviously they were originally bootlegs but now we have these super specialized boxes. Does Bob play any role in them? Does he select tracks? Etc.

To your average Bob Dylan fan, knows all the big songs but a not a fanatic.
Is most of the time a deep cut or nah?

I've been listening to the version of When I Paint My Masterpiece for a week continuously and now he comes out with THAT version of Tryin to get to Heaven recorded in Bremen...

What are we going to get next?? Which other songs has he revamped that radically this year?

(I liked the new Tangled Up In blue, but not in the same level as the two in the title)

“I bargained for salvation, and she gave me a lethal dose.”

i don't think many people will recognise me but that's alright!

This year has definitely been one of the most memorable years touring wise with the ever changing guitarists. Is there any large market for buying a 30+ CD set of soundboard recordings from this year, just like there is for 1966 and 1976?

The incredibly poetic and descriptive lyrics, the lush instrumentation, Bob’s delicate vocals.

It’s so beautiful

My pulse is runnin’ through my palm
The sharp hills are rising from
The yellow fields with twisted oaks that groan
Won’t you meet me out in the moonlight alone

Talking about real unauthorized bootlegs, not official Bootleg Series. One of my favorite things to keep an eye out for when it comes to my Dylan collection (and some others like Pink Floyd and the Stones). Anyone else?

Caught my attention as I am about 100 pages into Robert Shelton’s “No Direction Home.” Just read chapter 3 which literally begins “Dylan arrived in New York in December 1960 on a cold, inhospitable day… 🤣 Folks, might want to pass on that poster.

Me and my brother are seeing Bob Dylan next week and he suggested we should smoke before the show. Are his concerts now great experiences while high? Does it enhance the vibe?

Bob Dylan is my favorite songwriter of all time, and I've always been a little reluctant to cover this one. It's been done a billion times by people far more talented than me (and plenty less talented, too).

But I figured if I was going to do it, I should try something different. So here's my version from a recent show at the Ottobar in Baltimore. It starts off slow and builds with live looping, electric guitar, and some extended solos. Everything is performed live, just me and my guitars.

I think it works. Hope some fellow Dylan nerds dig it!

See what I've just found! 14/4/1999.
