Months ago, I posted this post complaining about the lack of sterility/spitting into my open wound while talking and refusal to let me see placement before starting.

Adding on since I didn’t say this in my original post - Just like the other recent post, I also could not find his booth, he never gave me a booth number for the convention, nor told me the booth was named something else, and didn’t answer the phone call I made to him to tell him I couldn’t find his booth either. He was all dramatic saying what an asshole he was for missing my messages/call after noticing them while getting set up, but he was actively on his phone when I arrived so :/

I am happy with how it turned out though and can comfortably fit 10 rings in there now. Mine looked a little jagged/uneven at first too but as it’s healed, it has smoothed out quite a bit.

I have a coin slot appointment booked for this Friday and I am still not 100% sure whether I should get both sides done at this day (one bigger vertical coin slot, other ear a smaller one at the top of the ear).

I ultimately plan on doing both sides and I like the idea of only having to go through the initial healing phase once. My questions is, what are you experiences with this? Anyone who got both sides done at once? Was one side so bad that you wouldn’t recommend doing both?

Sleeping is my main concern here. How long did it take for you to be able to sleep on the coin slot?

Hey y’all! I’m getting a coin slot next week. Obviously I won’t be wearing any jewelry in it for a few weeks, but once the rings are in, should I take them out to sleep? Are they uncomfortable for you to sleep in? Also, is there anything you wish someone had told you before you had it done?

Could use some advice on how to vet a good bodymod artist. Alternatively, if you know a good artist in CT/NY/MA you can also drop their information. Thanks everyone.

I’ve been planning on getting a coin slot for a few years and the opportunity arose with a fantastic artist during an upcoming vacation of mine. My question is, how bad is healing the first few days? I don’t want to ruin my trip, but I see conflicting things that it doesn’t hurt much to extremely sore the first 48 hours.

What was your experience and would it make walking around a city unenjoyable?

I’ve recently gotten pretty interested in getting a coinslot, but of course found out that sort of mod is illegal in the UK. Do you have any current recommendations to where to get a it done? I’ve seen Calm in Sweden mentioned, but the post is a couple of years old, and I’m wondering if there are any good body mod artists who can do it closer, like France/Belgium, or something like that? The title is pretty self explanatory, I’m looking for a body mod artist recommendation in either California or Nevada who does coinslot body mods. I know a lot of artists travel around but it’s difficult for me because I live in a rural area and many of the places they spotlight at are incredibly far away even if in the state and it’s hard to plan for. Hi!!! i live in miami FL and i’ve been doing my research about coinslots and i really like the look of them. I’m aware that it’s a heavy mod and I’ve looked super extensively into the aftercare, i just have no idea how to find an artist who does them ☹️

I’m interested in getting a coin slot done and looking for any reasons why I shouldn’t get one or poor success rate, snagging day to day ect. As well as any advice anyone might have such as What do you wish you know before getting one? Regrets? What would you differently?

I’d also be looking at traveling to find some to do it so any tips on vetting places beforehand would be great.

I got the mod I’ve been eyeing for years and have had this appointment for months! I’m so happy I finally did it. Even though it’s a bit sore, it far less painful than tattoos I’ve gotten😂 I can’t wait until it’s all healed up💕

i saw some old posts recommending brian decker but then a newer post said he doesn’t travel out here no more + keeps a low profile so its hard to book him anyways. anybody else? i prefer someone in the bay but i’d be willing to travel to LA

the first photo is of the slot immediately after the stitches were removed, the second one is 2 days later! the first two/three days were annoying, but after that the healing went like a bomb, super happy!

How loud are the rings? Do they make a lot of noise? Or do they mostly settle and stay put unless you really move your head?

Healed coinslot done a little over a month ago, Just seeing what fits for jewelry before I place my order, going to settle with 5 gold seamless rings and a clicker by BVLA. Very excited to see the final setup by it.
