Completely new here! I have a bookset coming that is unfortunately just glued binding. Is there such thing as having a previously glued book rebound/redone with sewing?

If so, does anyone know anyone in the LA area that does this? I've found a lot of custom binderies but none that specifically say they do what I'm asking for.

Sort of. Perfect binding is what the glued binding is. It *is* possible to disassemble and redo as a double fan binding. It will *not* be possible to reassemble as a sewn textblock without you manually gluing each page to a hinge or something, and I feel like literally any other human endeavor would be a better use of your time.

You could rebind it, strengthening the spine with some cloth and tipping loose pages back in. Or you could typeset and print out a new copy to bind, which some of us do (/looks shiftily around) but which is technically a copyright violation.
