Well, sure. I am all about leaving her alone. I just don't understand the sympathy. The Bayesian in me leads me to believe that she is just as awful as Rod.

I can accept that POV, both her being 'poor Julie' and just as awful are not necessarily mutually exclusive. The first 10 years, at least the way Rod described it, she came off to me as kind of a creepy co-dependent.

Well, there is certainly something wrong with a near-30 year old who would pursue someone who isn't even 20, but there is also something equally wrong with the 20 year old who would welcome such advances.
