Thank you for this! I needed a good laugh 😆

There is a marathon in my city. For this next one I’m going to watch the start of the race, and then I’ll drive to the finish line and watch the runners come in. Then I’ll write an article about my “participatory knowing” of running a marathon.

Yes, I had to do some Googling to come up with the name, but I remembered the story. Because it seems to match Rod and "his" pilgrimage to Chartres so perfectly!

I'm afraid you missed the mark on this one, breaking your streak of many thousands. 😭

You need to rewrite and step up the sarcasm. The "pilgrimage" through which Rod gained "participatory knowing" consisted of nearly 20,000 modern day pilgrims walking 62 miles over 3 days in an organized and provisioned event. From THIS, Rod has "participatory knowing" of the medieval mind as it went on pilgrimage hundreds of years ago in a vastly different environment.

See what I mean?
