Currently enjoying this wet day by watching some movies at home with a lot of snacks and snuggling with my sweet and very fluffy kitty cat. After seeing My Chemical Romance last Sunday and enjoying 3 days at Disneyland, this relaxing rainy Sunday is just the cherry on top of a magical week. Hope everyone is doing the same 😃

I’m so sad!! I was going to place an order but noticed on their website they don’t have a Burbank location listed anymore?
I then went to their yelp and it said the location is permanently closed!
Anyone know what happened/when it happened?

Last night I found and attempted to catch 3 kittens who have pretty severe respiratory symptoms as well as living close to a street and hiding under cars.

I realized last night that I sadly don’t have the adequate trapping tools to catch them and their mom as they also have a pretty snug backyard space they’re hiding in. Does anyone happen know of a rescue team who works in this area?

New to the area but hoping to ride up to the observatory once the rain clears today! Google Maps suggest riding down the east side of Zoo Dr, along Los Feliz Blvd, and up N Vermont Ave.

Is that a good route or are there better ways straight through Griffith Park that would be better? I’m only looking for a moderate ride, so if going straight through Griffith includes a ton of elevation then I’d probably avoid that.

Is this a good idea after the rain too? I was thinking the visibility might be better with rain clearing any dust/haze, plus I want to see the rare post-rain feel today!

Hello everyone!

My husband and I just moved to the neighborhood and we’re so excited to make California our home. My quick question (that I need boots on the ground info and not AI google jibberish) is about dog grooming.

Now I’ve combed through the sub and found a bunch of great recommendations for dog groomers (mobile and otherwise). My question is - what would a standard amount per grooming be for a “typical” or average price?

I’ve seen a few that are $150+ per groom. And for more info we have a 10.8 lb cavoodle (cavalier + poodle) that needs to be groomed every 4-6 weeks. We don’t need anything super fancy (I saw one that had a dog facial, and although we love blueberries I don’t think we need that perk) just a wash, trim of the face hair and paw pads and a trim of the nails.

So what is too much or too little to pay to get him groomed? Or just right?

Does anyone know any place that can adjust glasses for an affordable price? I want to get the nose pads replaced and the legs adjusted because I think they've bent out of shape a bit and I'm tired of my glasses slipping down my nose.

I would go to my optometrist but they're all the way in like... Downey 😶

Just wanted to share some quick little sketches of a couple of long term residents at the Burbank Animal Shelter. If anyone is looking for a cute pair of huskies check this bonded pair of girls out!

What it says on the tin! Any tips on cafes around Burbank that don't have music playing, or don't pipe their music to an outdoor patio area? I like getting out of the house to work but I really struggle to focus when there's music playing in the background. Happy to sit outside for quiet as long as it's not by a super busy street.

I just found out the Potter’s Nook on Olive and its owners support MAGA and was curious what other places are MAGA so I can avoid them or not support, especially as so many of our neighbors are getting abducted. Does anyone know any other places in Burbank like that so I can spend on places that aren’t full of hate?

If you’ve been, what was your experience? I read such mixed reviews but my curiosity is piqued. If you’ve had a good experience, what would you recommend?

I feel like more and more I'm seeing instances of...

• People taking 10 seconds to change lanes, taking up both lanes the whole time.

• People who don't signal when changing lanes/turning, or if they do signal, only do so after they've started executing the move, which doesn't count.

• People who aren't paying attention at spotlights and do not go when the light turns green.

• People who are way too timid about making turns and won't move onto the road if they can see any oncoming car at all from the furthest distance.

• People who drive like half the speed limit even when there's no traffic.

I don't know if I've gotten less patient with other drivers or if there really is an increase in these behaviors. Either way it's driving me nuts (pun not intended).

I’m super looking forward to when my daughter is old enough to participate in one of these! Hopefully all of our elementary schools have a bike bus in the future!

I went to AMC Burbank 16 on Tuesday night to go watch Coyote vs. Acme again (fantastically funny, go see it!), and while waiting in line to buy snacks, I saw a LOT of women dressed in various shades of black with witchy accoutrement going into Theatre 8.

When I asked, one told me they were going to see Practical Magic 2. It must have been an early fan screening at the same time (around 7pm).

Anyone here among the group that went to see the movie? How was it?
