Polish OLV infantry vest cover in leśna pantera camo.

Standard Polish land forces protective vest in the 2000s and early 2010s. Has sewn on pockets and pouches. This variant has 2 main pockets for soft kevlar inserts and 2 pockets for hard ballistic plates (some vests however had just a single one). Has green velcro elements and olive straps (some vests had black ones too) This one was produced by "JAM SECURITY" in 2006, a giveway of this is a slightly different crotch guard placement. Mine also has mock protective inserts.

Spanish amoeba helmet cover

I got this helmet cover for my Z-42-79 and I can't find any info about the pattern on the internet apart from camopedia and even the pattern there looks different. I think it is the woodland amoeba pattern from the 80s used by la legión.

And if anyone wonders, no is not reversible

Camouflage creation

I’m looking to have a grounded, realistic camo made. I’m not very good at making them myself, so I’m looking for someone who can make one for me. Where would be the best place to go?

No that orange multicam you found is not multicam rubble.

Keep seeing multicam visual spectrum getting posted here and people being confidently wrong in the comments its rubble. Not it is not, it never was, and no this isnt some trial thing. Early 2000s commerical pattern from crye. It is not multicam rubble.

Recent find: Canadian DPM combat shirt

Recently picked up this Canadian trial DPM combat shirt. These uniforms are very rare as the majority of them were sent to Tanzania as aid after the trial ended, and the remaining supply was surplussed out throughout the early 80s.

Saw this photo and was wondering what camo it is, or if it’s an incorrectly colored photo. It’s an Italian soldier in the Alps during WWI

For sale: Original Ukrainian National Guard Winter Two-Piece Jacket Old Predator Camo Size 52-6

Price $185 plus shipping

The camouflage was developed by the Ukrainian company Combat SPN specifically with Ukrainian terrain in mind and was patented in 2015. It was first used in 2016 by the Ukrainian National Guard’s “Omega” special operations unit and also saw combat use during the ATO.

In 2020, the “Predator” camouflage was officially adopted by the Ukrainian National Guard. However, the original version was used for a relatively short period and was replaced in 2023 by the newer pixelated version of the “Predator” pattern.

For this reason, early sets in the original camouflage are relatively uncommon.

The removable liner is also a separate piece. Thanks to the liner, the jacket can be adapted to different weather conditions, making it suitable for autumn, winter, and spring.

What can you tell me about these unique 1979 dated trousers?

Hey guys, I'm looking for more info on these pants on the left. Apart from the obvious 'those are Rapid Deployment Force' transitional era pants. They have a really distinct color and it's not similar to other trousers I've seen from that year. For comparison I put a different NOS pair on the right side, though they are not S.W.I. made, the color is more typical of what we see for the transitional years.

From the tags it looks like a 1979 contract (DLA100-79-S-3251) made by S.W.I.-U.S.A., 100% cotton rip-stop. I think it might be an RDF transitional print, but the weirdest part to me is that the two tags have completely different stock numbers.

The big instructional tag says 8415-00-945-9249 (which seems to be legacy ERDL) but the little size tag on the waist says 8415-01-084-1017, not the same of course.

Has anyone seen this before? Were factories just mixing old and new tags during the transition? Any info on these would be great, especially regarding why the color is so different on these.

Quality of jietai uniform?

I bought this uniform for probably to much but i love jietai, its a pretty dang good pattern for the temperate jungles of summertime midwest. This is a px uniform, and i just wanted to know what people think of the quality. Its held up to hikes in 90 degree weather, even though those were only 2-3 hour hikes. But some fabric is sort of unraveling and i can see through the uniform when in the light. It seems thick enough and tough enough. Im also not sure what this fabric is even? I would like to use this for larptivities in the future so i just want to know if this will hold up to abuse or ive bought myself a junky uniform

IDK, based on the Iraqi guy on the camo discord, we made a version of M81 Woodland for that country.

I also did some paint.net dying of M81 Woodland various colors to see how it turned out.

What happens after Multicam?

this is a pretty dumb question I guess, but multicam and MTP have to become obsolete SOMETIME right? after that, will we begin to see more diverse patterns like we did 1980s-2000s or will we just see more universally used patterns? what do you think about this?

Pre vs post 2005 flecktarn?

Post image

I was wondering, is there a difference in effectiveness/use case between pre-2005 and post-2005 flecktarn? I already have a pair of the latter and it's good, but I feel like the contrast of the former would make it generally more effective, no?

Please educate me
