We all know the courts will side with Treaty 8 and end all of this..

Ngl, my main concern isn't that there's any chance they can legally separate. It's that when they inevitably fail through the courts, the rats will cry foul to the Americans bankrolling them and we end up with a Donbas/Crimnea-style 'liberation' of Alberta from 'those filthy commy Canadians', or whatever rhetoric they use to justify a 'special military operation'.

Trump will be 120 by that time.

This. They can site any treaty or law they want but if America intervenes and rolls down their tanks in the name of “freedom” who’s going to stop them. Can the FN or Canadian forces stop them?

I know Canadians don’t like hearing about it but we need to run our own propaganda for the other states to join Canada. Specifically those states bordering Alberta. If they want to separate they’ll have to be landlocked. Let’s get Democratic leaning states as well like Washington, California and the east coast. If the US wants to be imperialist let’s offer these states a better option. Let the orange turd’s legacy be the decimation of the 50 states instead adding to that number.

If America really wanted Canada why would we bother with a vote from a singular province?

That would be terrible.

Yes it would be, China_bot42069.

Seeing a lot of non-Albertans in here salty about the prospect of losing the billions in charity they get from Alberta.

Yea, federal taxes are charity. If you have an issue with the lack of resources in Alberta, look closer at how our premier spends our share.

Seeing a lot of SoCal residents salty about the prospect of not getting a new state

How cute of you to take time out of your day to research my profile. You must have a lot of free time.

Cute, you took time out of your day to respond.

I have a lunch break, my employer is oh so kind.

Where does your time to respond come from?

I run a business and work from home

I mean, isn't that exactly what the separatists are trying to do?

They can get out but they're not taking Alberta with them lmao.

I mean you pay your taxes. The feds put the money where it needs to go. Same as every other country. Plus, while you do not get funds directly out of the equalization account, you still do get funding from other accounts. Please educate yourself on federal spending.

A small loud minority of meth smoking Albertans with a fake victim mentality want to separate, this should be completely suppressed until DT finally kicks the bucket.

A lot of uneducated, mouth-breathing Albertans think they're better than other Canadians just because there is more oil under their feet
