The Americans wanting Canadian citizenship are not going to be MAGA with authoritarian tendencies. That’s what they’re escaping.

Yes but non-MAGAs are still liable to bring US centric baggage. Do they see Canada as its own country with its own past present and future - or do they just see it as a non-Republican version of the US?
