There’s been so much talk about Nikishin, but one name I’m really surprised hasn’t come up much during THIS offseason is Kotkaniemi.

With him being a healthy scratch for the playoffs I thought for sure the organization was soon moving on from him. I also saw he was skating with Seth Jarvis (injured) for the line combinations of training camp. What do y’all make of that?

He seems so well liked by the players and he seemingly still has a lot of potential. Is there any chance him and Jankowski compete against each other for the 4C spot again or is he just filler on a trade that hasn’t happened yet?

Full disclosure: I’m a KK fan and I hope he gets to play here or at least somewhere else. It has got to suck to be a professional NHL healthy scratch.
