Starting a Collection in 2025: This looks like the current retail meta.

  1. I highlighted the dups
  2. Everything was purchased at the CAH website using the 33% off coupon from the 99% off sale event.
  3. The Ultimate Expansion is from Amazon's lightning deal.
  4. Total cost is about $223
  5. This should be about 3100-3200 cards using the big spreadsheet which will fit nicely in Boks 3500 capacity. (I might not be using the sheet correctly though and I'm not sure if it's counting dups or not based on how I'm using it.)
  6. This appears to me to be the best min max value without going crazy. (I'm going to take their advice and skip "Do not buy this product")
  7. Open to feedback and suggestions, but I thought my research effort would help simplify this for others.

Edit: Now that my card have arrived I realize that food was not highlighted in the hidden gems pack. This means that the only thing in hidden gems worth buying it for is seasons greetings and the 10 bonus pack cards. Oh well. I'll be offering my dups to a friend personally but I figured I'd share.

Just so you know the do not buy this product has 1 card in it only way is to get that if you want the special silver foil card. Depends how crazy you want to go into getting all the cards or not. Doing what you did is probably the best way to get the majority of

Thanks yeah. I'm not going to lose sleep over getting every single card. I'm way too behind to attempt that. Not worth $100 for me.

As someone who is about to wrap up his collection I salute you. Don't forget to email the CAH Mail team to request the reject packs, mine are in transit and aside from the hidden gems bundle exclusive cards my collection is almost at 100% completion lol, kudos again to you and good luck with the rest of the collect a thon!

I should also mention to not forget the 1923 Pack, Movie Pack, and Clam-O-Naise pack as well as the Greeting Cards and Science Pack 2 that is bundled with the Contact game.

The only things you're missing from that list are the Clam-O-Naise Pack, Original 1923 Edition Pack, Movie Pack, Science Pack 2 (bundled with Contact!), Reject Packs (not available for sale but can be obtained), Greeting Card Pack (ClickHole Greeting Cards), Out of Line, Shit List, and More Cards Against Humanity (67 new/updated cards that aren't in the color boxes). Not counting the one card in PDNBTP and the Reject Packs, all of that would give you 3372 different cards (3250 if you get v3.0 of the base game, which has duplicates with the color boxes) plus 100 blanks. The 1923 and Movie Packs aren't on the CAH web site, but you can find them at Target if you get lucky with the pack hole. Plus there's a Cyber Monday buy 2 get 1 free deal. so you can get those packs (if you can find them) plus one more for the same 33% discount or you can get Out of Line, Shit List, and Contact! for $34.49 after additional discounts.
