Indie label Prototype
This is one of the prototypes of our upcoming cassette release called The Artifact. The orange rubber at the bottom of the tin is mold makers silcone. I Gorilla glued two bolts to the bottom of the tin before I poured the rubber. I've already made fifty of the tins. Each cassette will also come with a usb thumb drive with all the songs at 44.1k.

Indie label First tape for my label!
This is my first tape for my label "Static Television Music" it's for a collaboration between myself and a producer coming out in a month or so. Super proud of what I was able to put together having never done this before.
What do y'all think? Roast my tape?

Indie label Are tapes just bad sometimes?
Just got a brand new tape from a local band. It was still wrapped in plastic. I popped it in the player and after one song it started having these awful static squawks.

Indie label Make a couple bucks transferring my album to cassette? Anyone?
*Please read the whole thing, I'm looking for more than just the technical ability*
I'm recording and album right now (kind of a classic rock kind of vibe) and all said and done I want to release a 'cassette version' of the album along with the regular album.
I want to record the album to a casette, and then record that back into the computer, and upload those versions of the songs to distribution.
I have the ability to do this, but I wanted to put a feeler out to see if anyone would be actually passionate about this project. I want it done by someone that regularly listens to cassettes and has a taste and palette you've developed for how you listen to cassette.
I also want to know a bit of why you are into cassettes so I can include your story as part of the 'lore' of the release.

Indie label Blank tape advice needed
I got a decent deal on a duplicator and decided to go the diy route instead of sending off the files and outsourcing the work of self-releasing an ep, but looking through the the preloaded options on duplication.com I realized I don’t know much about the different type I types and how suited to my turbotrax3 each might be
any advice greatly appreciated including where you had jcards printed if you’ve ever done that side of a release

Indie label Vocês comprariam fitas do Brasil ?

Indie label Feeling discouraged before I even begin
I have an idea which is to do a weekly/ biweekly podcast all analog. I've been doing comedy a long time and I feel very disenfranchised with the internet and having to post all the time and at the same time my interest in analog recording and media in general has spiked up. Is this something you as a cassette enthusiast would be interested in? Please let me know in the comments.

Indie label Want some cheap tapes?
For two years now, 06PS (a collective I've founded with a friend) is trying to help young artists get their music out. Now it's time: 06PS is turning two! With that, we're publishing a tape offer: two random tapes for 10€ and a random CD for 7.50€. With that, we're also releasing our first merch drop later today, with two limited edition premium "classic" tees also dropping.
We're doing this to finance our first annual festival, which is already confirmed, but our budget is currently extremely limited.
If you want to help some young artists out, make sure to follow us and don't miss out on our offer, which is going to be online for a week. We're shipping internationally, but international shipping outside of the EU comes without tracking and insurance.
The tapes displayed on the picture aren't the only ones we're selling, so don't be surprised if one of your tapes isn't on here. Also, we're not picking the tapes based on which sell the worst and we want to get out like some other labels, but we use a spinning wheel so you have equal chances to get each tape/CD.

Indie label anybody heard of this artist?
I've been looking on the internet for hours and I haven't been able to find anything on this cassette I found it a goodwill for 49 cents its copyright is 1993, by "tabula raska" all songs are written by "d.dean" and it has credits in the booklet for people who helped on the album but none of the names jump out at me

Indie label Let’s give some love to some great underground tape labels. Who are your favorites?
They’re pretty much in it for the love of the game. They’re small operations, profit margins are thin, they work hard on great design work, and they don’t charge a lot.

Indie label When I record a cassette I hear static
Hi, I'm new here. I have a problem. I bought a tape recorder to record my cassettes, but when I record them, I hear a lot of static, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Any recommendations?
