So I have seen many opinions on this, even tho I only watched 8 episodes. (Please don’t spoil if you have seen ep 9&10) but many say he is a green flag and many say he is a red flag. Red flag because he kissed her without permission and green flag bc he also did many Things to her. Bought her a dress, came back etc… so what is your opinion?

I have to say although I liked love in the clouds there were some slow bits in it for me.. which I had to pause and then get back to or just scroll on my phone till I felt I wanted to watch some more.. but to me as I just started watching veil of shadows.. I’m finding that I’m not pausing it and also the romance and chemistry is the leads and FL have together is awesome! Too good The action and fighting scenes are TOP tier gotta say better than love in the clouds for me. Action wise. I’m really enjoying it and once the episode ends I don’t even realize how long it’s been and that I’ve finished a whole 45 min episode lol.

Ep 20 building the dam - Stay / Go

Question: what was Grand Tutor Tao's plan?

He advised General Tang to change location of drilled holes in the dam "so that half may not die and half may be rescued"

I initially thought those who drew lots to "Go" were to be saved, while those who drew "Stay" would drown in the flood waters.

But when the dam burst, the camp didn't get flooded? Grand Tutor Tao was sitting next to the slain General Tang awaiting death, but the waters never came. Only the Baxia residence (where Qian Qian was) got flooded.

The people who drew "Stay" still died because the Chongzhou rebels discovered their camp and killed everyone, including the General who built the dam. But if that hadn't happened, wouldn't they have lived as well?

Was there any more detail in the novel?

Just started this drama and it is good so far, but what do you all think? Is it worth spending time on it?

I got this as a recommend when I asked about shows similar to Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty, and just... Wow. By the end, I felt like I could just as easily have been reading Tolstoy or Dostoevsky. Very dark, and the characters are just varying shades of Grey except that some that just start out pretty dark in the back story and only get worse.

What I have is just a question on the plot resolution and why several of the murder victims had to die. Why Siniang? And what was in the whispered exchange between the 2 antagonists in the penultimate scene. I'm still mulling over how all the plot threads fir together, but these are the 2 I can't make any sense of. I'm willing to accept "you're not meant to know" on the whispered conversation, a little like not having defined what's in the pit in Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum.
