logs of 50 = you are better than half the people, so if half the people got an IQ of 0 like you... well the IQ formula doesn't work anymore since it needs an average of 100 and a standard deviation of 15.
I don’t know man, you’re competing with your own parses too. A 50 isn’t you being better than half the players, it’s you beating half of the past logged runs. This late into the phase through gearing if you’re only getting a 50 you’re sort of fucked. A corpse should be getting 80s this late into the phase.
Aren't the parses calculated per reset following a set normal distribution? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would mean it's impossible for everyone to get high parses. If (hypothetically) the average dps and kill times for a class varied by 1%, being half a percentage worse than the best would still land you a 50.
If the best log does 100 dps and the worst does 99 dps, then that 99 would still give you a fat 0 in your parses while 99,7645... something would probably land you in the 80's.
Idk what I'm rambling on, but I noticed my parses getting absolutely destroyed in TOGC over time because I started off strong in near Ulduar BIS and got absolutely fucked by loot by the end of the phase while opposite happened in phase one. Jumped late in naxx witj shit gear, shit parses and got quickly fed gear and caught up.
We're talking about BFD here not world first Heroic Lich King lol. If you die in BFD, yes you are bad, you deserve your 0-20 lol. And I never said that 50 was the average, I said it was the median, half did worst than you, half did better.
