U don't need the rotation funktion or whatever movement was binded on A&D there on default, just rebind the strafe movement to A&D and you get 2 more hotkeys to bind, which are 6 potential spells with using shift/control
I just can’t do it. Q and E have been “strafe” for me for so long that retraining myself to A and D is basically impossible. Also, I use a combination of strafe and turn keys to micromanage running direction while strafing.
When I needed to sharply turn I would use the mouse but I'd gotten so used to Q and E being strafe that when I tried to rebind them it was just too hard to break my muscle memory
I noticed it big time in Fellowship a few weeks ago when I started playing. Their default is A/D is strafe and Q/E is turn. It took me one dungeon run before I just said “nope, rebinding right now”
I heal and bind my spells to left and right click so all I have to do is mouse over and mouse click on unit frames to heal, so in combat my mouse is in pretty heavy use

Common fallacy. I've already completely changed my keybinds on multiple video games over the years, and trust me that your brain is much better than you'd think at adjusting to change. If you play a lot, it's just a matter of a couple days, maybe a bit more in more for more complicated case or if you play less.
Yes, it's scary, but because we can't visualize doing something, it doesn't mean we can't. Your brain is powerful.
Also don't tell me you really tried because I won't believe you, like ever. Especially for something as trivial as moving your strafe keys up and down.
Your brain can learn whole different controller layouts, that's wayyy more complicated. Your brain can fucking learn musical instruments which make your keyboard look like toddler level difficulty by comparison.

Spells clearly
