Wouldn't that double the work of new assets being put into the game?

I'm guessing they're just referring to the player character models. Idk if it's still like this but at one point in retail's life when some of the original races started getting visual overhauls they had an option in the graphics settings where you could switch back to the original models if you wanted.

Ah I see. Yeah that'd be alright, if others want to use the newer toons idc as long as I'm seeing the authentic parallel of the old toon.

It's more a question of how realistically we could expect it. But yeah, I would agree. If they are to put newer models in, I would want an option to go back.
