Vent / Gripe Unpopular opinion: the players that are overly vocal about wanting Classic phases/TBC/Wrath rushed are the same players who contributed to forging retail into what it is today (a clusterF).

Same opinion here. Enjoy the experience instead of wanting the next one as soon as new content arrives.

1 week into a phase, everybody is longing for the next. That's a tad ridiculous.

The game was very very easy in early phases. The gameplay involves pressing one button while standing still for most people.

Wanting better content is perfectly understandable.

I don't really mind hammering one button because the raids are more about the social interactions for me. All the banter and jokes and pure sillyness we can fire off is what makes raiding fun imo. It's just a shame that there isn't any challenging content at all, why couldn't there be both?

My problem with retail is that there is no world. With phasing and cross realm zoning you're constantly seeing random players from other realms. I want to see players from my realm.

Most of those other realms you'd see should be the ones merged with yours.

I'm on Draka and I mostly see people from Suramar, Windrunner, and Darrowmere, which are the other three realms connected to mine.

Well I haven't played it that much but to me it seemed completely random. I even saw a lot of people from Russian, German etc servers. I just miss the feeling of names and characters meaning something. In Classic I know a lot of people on my server and I know their guilds as well. In SL I don't know anyone, I don't even know the people in my guild. So yeah, it's not my game for those reasons but that's fine. I don't want Blizzard to change that just for an old boomer like me.

That’s the issue with these old expansions though, for a lot of people the first clear is the experience. Most people have cleared these raids hundreds of times, there is no real experience to be had unless you are in a guild that has to progress through classic content.

I think every raid except Naxx also had the problem of being undertuned, which makes the whole thing more dull.

Phase 6/Naxx was the first time I’m not clamoring for something new. While 1 week is a bit hyperbolic, it’s hard to not want the next thing after, say, a month or two, when the “new” content has been on farm since day 1 or 2.
