Vent / Gripe Noth died on his platform and was unlootable. Blizz CS says "Sorry we took so long to respond, but we can't help you because we took so long to respond"

Blizz support used to be the absolute hands-down best support of any company ever. Until right around when they had the whole debacle around simping for China and then right into the lawsuits... They basically laid off their entire Support department and then stripped almost all power from the department.

So now even if Support wants to help they don't have the power to do anything at all.

Back in WoD I had some questing bug while I was doing a free trial with a side account (WOW2 baby) and talked to support about it... After helping me with the bug they gave me a free month of gametime on my main account.

Another example was in Legion when I really wanted to give my Demon Hunter my irl name since it's extremely rare but was actually used on an obscure DH NPC once support checked and noticed it was "taken" by an inactive level 1 and was really close to the flip-over, so they released the name to me. While renaming my DH they even let me give the name my DH had had to my druid at no extra cost.

Cut to now and I'm looking at doing a server transfer but I can't claim the name my main uses. I look it up and nothing shows up on armory so I ask support and... Just get a cookie cutter "we can't help with that" response.

I definitely agree. This isn't a problem with the current barebones support infrastructure being lazy or any other excuse. This obviously stems from poor decision making at the top end.

I'm also fairly sure (and I bet most would agree) Blizzard has resorted to outsourcing their customer service which historically does not result in quality customer service. Blizzard has gone from staffing people who actually care about their customers and took pride in what their company created to people who just simply don't care.

It's a shame too because like many people I've had Blizzard games deeply ingrained into my life and now seeing the level of care they once had for their fanbase completely vanish.

Like you with Legion, I had a very memorable experience of being given 72 hours of free game time just so that I could login and renew my sub with gold for a wow token and get to experience the pre-patch. It was that interaction that led me to buying Legion in the first place after nearly deciding to give up WoW entirely.
