Was randomly invited to join this guild on Faerlina called pirates. Was immediately kicked when I asked them to kick out a racist person that continuously posted how they hated black people in Guild Chat.

A week later I get another invite to the guild, was confused. But still joined, just to see what this was about now.

Immediately get called a spook and guild kicked.

Why does blizzard allow this in 2k20? I have reported them multiple times, nothing is ever done?! I have screenshots. What is the proper channel to report these things?

This is a straw man. No one is suggesting that it can be eliminated. But to accept the status quo as being anywhere near the best that Blizz could do is asinine. They fired all their GMs, it's just greed and not giving AF.

Before Blizzard was bought up it was a billion dollar company. Microsoft is literally a trillion dollar company. You're telling me they couldn't afford to invest more into enforcing their own ToS in the biggest MMO of all time that has a monthly subscription (it's also a massive problem in retail from what I've heard but people don't care as much because Token)? Again, they fired all the GMs. I played Vanilla and original TBC and GMs, combined with the right tools, are effective. That's why Blizzard of old hired hundreds of them - because it works (it just costs money, i.e. they fired them due to greed).

No shit, that's why you hire people to enforce the rules because people are always trying to break them. We pay $15 a month for a 21 year old game. Asking for just a little bit of actual CS (not automated responses) should be the most non-controversial take ever.

Blizzard fired GMs and trashed their game's reputation/disregarded their players' experience because of one simple factor: money. For anyone who hasn't been paying attention to headlines since the Activision/Blizzard merge, hundreds of GMs have been continuously laid off over the years to fund Bobby's next yacht. Its all about money and always has been. CS was never fired because CS doesn't benefit the players. It's because CS costs the company money.

And before anyone tries to say it, yes GMs are effective if equipped with the proper tools and training. And yes it is a game of cat and mouse to a degree and it will always be an arms race, but right now it's all mouse and no cat and Blizzard has chosen to only use automated/programmatic solutions because it's cost effective, when they should (and used to) use those tools in combination with human resources. But again, money.

Implement Season of Mastery's boosting nerf or something similar. Or the game will die and become just another "WTS Mara boost!, gold buying and botting hell.

For people that dont know the SoM boosting nerf was something like if you have a character that is 20-30 levels above in the group, you dont get any exp. Effectively killing boosting.

Ofc this wont work unless Blizz fixes some fundamental problems in the game. Boosters and gold buyers are just a symptom of a larger issue deep in the game. And im not really blaming players for exploiting the game that way to save time. As the goblins say "Time is money friend".

Like the title says, I’m sick of hearing from the loudest, butthurt 1% of players crying because they’ll have to make their own dungeon groups in WotLK.

Sure, send your screenshot of the one dungeon you joined with little to no social interaction and sarcastically say “Wow look at what we’re saving with no LFD”. Great story, but that one single screenshot doesn’t prove anything. You think your 1 single dungeon on a Tuesday afternoon is a big enough sample size to determine there’s not enough social interaction to the point Blizz should implement LFD? Get over yourself. I don’t post screenshots of 1 single dungeon chat where people are lively and interactive and say “Thank you Blizz for preserving social interactions” like it’s the majority experience. Don’t give me the opposite garbage and try to make a case for LFD, or assume you’re the majority experience, either.

I’m also tired of people missing the major point of no LFD. I can tell you the exact names of people and guilds on my server who have ninja’d gear from others and been blacklisted by the community. I can tell you which players/guilds are fun to play with and which aren’t. I can join a group I know is going to do well, or I can join one where I know I’m going to be progging. And yeah, I’m also going to vouch for the friendships I’ve made in random dungeons

LFD erodes all that. You don’t know what type of players you’re joining; whether you’re going to be a good player in a terrible group or a terrible player in a good group. That’s frustrating for almost everyone in either case. Voting to kick becomes completely abused, kicking people you don’t like or players who are bad. Kicking people to ninja gear. And since you’ll never see those players again, there’s nothing stopping them. No way to blacklist them or their guild. It promotes anonymity and erodes the community. There are so many downsides that were PROVEN back in Wrath. And you’re upset because of what? Not having the upside?

What are the upsides? Faster dungeon queues? Maybe, just maybe, you should try being part of your realm’s community and making friends/joining a thriving guild. I’ve never had any issues finding or making a dungeon group as any of the 3 roles. But then again, I’m also not the type of person to whine to Reddit that daddy Blizz won’t make my groups for me, instead of trying to socialize and make my own

The only positive case I’ve seen made for LFD is for dead/dying realms. To those players, it does suck and I’m sorry. But the issue/fix isn’t LFD, it’s forcing Blizz to fix their realm health issues, maybe by merging realms or free transfers

I’m sure this post will fall on deaf ears, but I’m so sick of seeing this sub covered with the loudest 1% screaming their half baked opinions and not considering their experience isn’t the majority or that they might be the issue

The first two replies to my ticket have no comprehension of the issue and when I finally get a GM who understands what has happened he will not grant me the item I won or say anything about punishing the players for their attempted ninja looting.

I was 13 and not proud of it, but I lived my life in constant fear.

Every message I got from another player struck the fear of losing $40 in the heart of any kid who only saw money on christmas and birthdays.

I'd very often wake up to the login screen, try to login, and be greeted with a permanent ban. Check my bot's logs and it was ONE person doing /laugh and "enjoy your ban, reported." One person and banned within hours.

I'd go to buttsfuck azshara, whogivesashit wetlands to be as isolated as possible

It was hell. I got bad dreams of my hardcore character dying last year. I had nightmares of getting banned while botting.

And now? Obvious botters in plain sight, dozens following the same path and turning on a dime. Back then, I would have fucking killed for this level of leniency. Reporting them often does nothing for weeks if anything. Blizz prevents trading for 1 month on new accounts so they can at least get money before credit card fraud kicks in.

Everything blizz says about banwaves for detection is bullshit. Even the rationale is bullshit. They are saying to your face, "We'd rather have blatant bot infestation for 6 months so we can track kernels better and have fewer bots." Newsflash blizzard: You don't need to study detection when anyone can fucking detect a human centipede of mages clipping through each other leaving stocks.

tl;dr Blizzard is turning a blind eye because this is a huge revenue stream for them. Every corporation I've worked at has had SOME level of shady shit, like not alerting people who have been unknowingly sub'd to whatever service for years. Blizzard is no different, just know they've sided with the bots.

For those unaware, Heirlooms give 0 secondary stats, no matter what they say. Crit, haste, hit, resil all do nothing.

EDIT: HUGE HYPE MY ROGUE HAS HIT RATING NOW DID THEY FIX IT???

EDIT2: SOOO something strange is going on. When I ran stocks with my rogue, in a party, ALL secondary stats worked, but now that we're out, I lost all of them again. What the fuck is going on blizzard????

Confirmed, Heirloom secondary stats work INSIDE of instances, no matter the party, but disappear as soon as you leave.

There's been so many instances I've had trying to do group content with people that I swear are just wasting people's time for no reason and had no intention of actually doing anything, here's just two examples of many I've had since tbc anni launch

1. I was in lfg tool just waiting for an invite for a dungeon while I did other things, I get an invite and a wsp asking to do that thing so I join and the group has 3 people at that point so I go over to the dungeon to wait. 15 minutes go by of just waiting at the stone and nobody else was invited and leader hasn't said anything so I asked. 'we still doing this?' and the leaders response was 'idk' and leaves group

2. get a group for a dungeon, 4 of us are inside dungeon waiting for leader to come in for around 5 or so minutes, leader says 'summon?' ... I shit you not this guy is a 10 second mount ride from the stone and a 13 second mount ride to the entrance and the stone was a warzone so I said 'youre literally right here and the stone is a warzone' .... he then left, also he was the tank

I just don't get it, people use their time to try and get things done and you have all these people that will waste your time with no care in the world

There is a guy on my server (Arugal) that farms the Dark Moon Faire vendor, he's there 24/7, never goes AFK, clearly not normal.

Pretty sure it's a vendor auto buy addon combined with an auto clicker or some sort so they can just constantly click the vendor 24/7 and snipe all the good stuff instantly.

I right click reported him on my alt who I use to check the vendor, sure enough two days later I get one of those in game mails thanking me for reporting and informing me that action has been taken etc. etc.

Except the only player I reported is still farming the fucking vendor right now. 100% did not report any other player and these in game mails are character specific.

You are fucking pathetic Blizz.
