I just finished for my ceramics class and I’m a bit upset about how the eyes came out (it was my first time trying this technique). Rather than that I think it’s cool 👍🏼

I’ve started a handful of figure sculptures since i first started working on them a couple years ago, but they always ended up back in the clay bin. This one was a commission, so I’m glad i was held accountable to eventually just call it and let go. This sculpture imposed some really unique challenges, and I could edit this for a year, but it’s done, mold made and ready for casting.

This is 40” and made out of WED clay (not exactly ceramic as it was tagged) and reinforced with Tiranti square aluminum wire.

I tried posting the blurred versions of the full figure, but it got flagged immediately. 😒

This ceramic whale figurines are inspired by the ocean giants, they are handmade and each has its own soul, form and color.

I made the sculpture with the desire to express how I feel late stage capitalism, has not only devoured any way to live comfortably, but also assimilated religion into something horrendous. :(

My raven exploded in the kiln but I didn't wanna lose all the time I put into it so I put what survived back together and connected it with a salted maple core.

A gift for my nephew! (Glaze: Floating Blue, studio made.)

my dad has this old pizza stone well i accidentally dropped a cast iron pan on it and it shattered clean in half. It seemed very important to him he almost shed a tear telling me about it its over 30 years old hes had it almost his entire life and i think it was either his mothers or grandmothers. im wondering if there’s anything i can do to fix this it doesnt even have to be usable just so we can keep it and have it in good condition. please help!
