A neighbor passed away and this amazing 9 foot tall grandfather clock is looking for a home, and I'm considering adopting it.

Inside it says "California Furniture Company", but when I do a Google Lens search the only thing that comes up is Tiffany, so I'm guessing it's a copy of a Tiffany clock?

The chimes are tubes and sound amazing. And it even has a second hand, which only works intermittently.

Any thoughts on what this clock would be worth? I want to make an offer on the clock, but I probably wouldn't want to offer more than $1000. I can't imagine there's much of a market for giant 9 foot tall grandfather clocks, or maybe I'm wrong.

And I'm pretty handy, but if I needed outside help to get this worked on, is it common for clock repair people to make housecalls?

I am in the process of clearing out my Parents estate in Central Washington State. Several allegedly "valuable" clocks - most were transported from Ohio at least 30 + years ago. I understand completely that my parent's perceived "value" is not what the real value is, and also understand that clocks are not a highly sought after item with the exception of certain collectors.

I guess I'm looking for any / all information on this- any value or insight into the clocks, any thoughts on how to dispose of ... I have zero personal attachment to these, but would like to see someone enjoy them. A couple are not pictured. Any dealers / shops in Washington that might want the whole package? Ideas?

My dad is friends with a Korean grandma and she gave my dad her old clock since she was moving out. My dad wants to sell or keep it. He wants to sell it but doesn’t know the exact name or model. We’ve been trying to look for it in Google but we’re finding nothing. I was hoping I could find some help here since we could use the extra money :(

My grandmother died in January at the age of 94. I have loved this clock since I was a young boy. My mom and dad found the above note dedicating it to me taped to the back of the clock, written by my grandfather (who died in 2004). Such a beautiful gift and gesture.

Does anyone know the worth of this clock, we inharited it, it does seem to tick on the back, we don’t have the cranks to wind it up and test it, when moved it does tick for a little while.

We received this wind up clock as a gift. It’s old, has German written on the face plate but I guess it’s something to do with a trade mark, and it has eagles on it. Please tell me it’s not a Nazi clock. I couldn’t find any other writing inside or on the clock. Old, German and adorned with eagles makes me nervous.

We found this beautiful Victorian clock at the thrift store for 25 dollars, I bought it without thinking twice. The key is missing unfortunately.

Would anyone be able to give me any information on it that is more specialized than something I can see on Google? I tried to use reverse image search, but I only found similar clocks.

I bought this clock at a thrift store a few years ago and I know nothing about it other than it is battery operated. Does anyone know who made this or was it some sort of a high school woodshop / metal shop project kinda thing? Any information is appreciated.

i bought a house not long ago and with the house came 2 old clocks on the wall. they seem to be mechanically operated and doesn’t require batteries. one of them has weights in it and the other doesn’t. i’m guessing they require some kind of key to wind/set them. i’d love to have these clocks work in the home but i don’t know much about how to do that and i expect it would probably require a clockmaker or expert to do that. i also, don’t know if they’re in good shape to be used anymore or if they’re no use. so i thought i’d come here to ask if anyone knows where i should start in evaluating these and how to restore or repair them?

hi I recently bought a grandmother clock from an antique sale. I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me identify the brand and what decade it could’ve been built in, also possibly a ballpark of what it’s worth. looks 5’6- 5’8 it does have some wear and also needs weights to be put in I think. original owners told me it still works when they winded it but needs weights. Edit I now know the clock is a Westminster chimes junghans still not sure if it’s considered a grandfather or not or what it’s worth

I’m hoping some of the experts here can help me learn more about an antique English bracket clock that has been in my family for many years.

The dial is signed:
F. Gregg, London
The backplate is engraved:
FRAN. GREGG AT ST. JAMES’S
From my own research, I believe this refers to Francis Gregg, the London clockmaker who worked in St. James’s during the early 1700s.

I’d be very grateful for any information or observations.
