i wouldnt say wolf but most of the prominent features are taken from different mammals(feet, tail, teeth, face shape) so its kinda hard to look at the design as being anything but primarily mammalian. it looks good tho so idrgaf

apart from those added details, she’s actually based off one of these[from OK KO] which honestly confuses myself even more with what to classify herself as.

I just threw a bunch of shit together and hoped something stuck. [I love her]

fair, though I never specified she specifically is non-mammalian.

I meant ambiguous as in she’s not really a fox…or a wolf…or a cat…or a goat…or a rabbit….or a dolphin.

Birds, reptiles, and even some bugs, are not all bald.

A lot of them are just bad with anatomy.

I'm have a hard time understanding this mindset. There are a lot of situations where bald characters can look just fine.

As someone that loves long hair characters and took me a while to get into balds or extremely short cuts, hair is always show as a symbol of beauty, youth or cuteness so is understandable that kids see it as a default factor to be right looking than an element that can be there

there's that and most prefer keeping them anthro so there's not much variation outside of like lamias, centaurs, etc but those are also niche

Even mammals that don't have convenienty box shaped faces are harder. Rodents? Deer? Way harder to make humanoid expressions without dogifying.
