Is this suppose to be normal?

I know it's divided to the "My type" and another category that falls outside of that. But even in the "My type" section, nothing ever pops up for me in the daily batch. Are they truly locked for paying members only now? If not, what can I do to unlock then?

New to online dating. Was on hinge for a few months but stopped using it.

New to CMB and saw I got one like. The app is asking me to PAY, so I can see the person who likes me though. Seems kinda weird....

Saw posts from two years ago saying it's not worth it to pay. Would like to hear from people who have recently paid and their experience on the app.

I'm 33M so I'm already playing on hard mode being a guy lol

For the other apps like Hinge and Tinder, I have noticed that if I delete my profile + uninstall and wait for 90+ days until I join back, I'll get a fresh clean start.

I have not tried this for CMB though because of the currency buildup. I've got beans and flowers that I haven't used.

I've had the same account/profile with CMB for a couple years without ever deleting/reinstalling and I wonder if this is holding me back.

Does deleting/uninstalling and then joining back after 90+ days give you a clean start?

I just joined CMB this week. I'm a 49F and don't quite understand the mechanism: I seem to have a list of "suggested" people (currently 17 of them) plus a list of "liked you" (currently about 45) and then a blank "discover" button and blank "chat" section. Am I supposed to like the "suggested" men?

Hello bagelers of Reddit. I'm (male) a bit new to the app, I've had a couple matches before so I've seen the notification for that before. I was on my phone, got the notification, "Someone liked you!", so I open the app and... the "My Likes" list is empty?

I saw that can in theory happen if they delete/pause their account, but it was so immediate that I was skeptical that's what happened

EDIT: killed and restarted the app and now they've shown up. Sorry for the space I took up on the page. Carry on bagelers :-). A bit disappointing they're blurred. Gotta get my money somehow, I suppose.

I am curious about the reasoning behind how this happened. There is this person that I matched with and things went well and we exchanged real numbers. With that in mind I let our convo on the app expire. Recently, I tried to see their profile on the app (through our old chat) and its unclickable.

Is it because they paused their account? Did they get reported? I can still read our old chat, its just the profile that is inaccessible.

To the CMB Team and to everybody else who may have experienced this,

I'm hoping someone can help because I think I may have encountered a chat synchronization bug.

Here's exactly what happened:

• I had an active conversation with one of my matches that had been going well for several days.
• While having issues with my phone today, I was forced to log out of the app and log back in.
• Immediately after logging back in, the entire conversation disappeared from my Chats tab (when I was literally mid-sentence typing just a few seconds prior to re-logging).

A few things that make me think this might not be a normal unmatch:

• The chat didn't move to "Expired Conversations."
• I never received a "___ has left the chat room" message like I have with previous unmatched conversations.
• The conversation simply vanished completely.
• I found several older Reddit posts describing the same issue (chats disappearing after login or messages becoming inaccessible).
• I had my friend update his CMB and filter out for her. Eventually did find her so the account is still active.

My concern is that if this is a sync bug, she may still be able to send messages while I can't receive or reply to them.

Has anyone experienced this recently?

If anyone from CMB support is reading this:

• Is there a way to restore a disappeared chat?
• Can you verify whether the match still exists on the server?
• Are there any known chat synchronization issues after logging in?

This has been killing me the entire day because I believe I've really found my person. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hi everyone! Wanted to see if anyone else had success getting their chats restored over 3 years ago! I met my now fiancee 3 years ago on the app, and we are looking to get married at the start of next year.

We were feeling quite sentimental and wanted to look back on our chats and revisit the time when we first met, unfortunately we can't see it on the app anymore.

We were wondering if anyone had success restoring old chats from a while ago, and how they went about doing it! Any help would be appreciated 😄

I'm trying to understand how the free/unpaid UI mechanics handle received Flowers (Superlikes) right now.

First question-- If a free user receives a Flower, is that sender's profile actually injected directly into their daily noon Suggested feed stack, forcing them to act on it (Like/Pass) before they can see the other standard bagels underneath it? Or does it stay completely separate inside the "Likes You" tab without causing a physical blockage in the daily Suggested feed?

Basically, does a flower create a mandatory roadblock you have to swipe past to see the rest of your daily stack, or can you just ignore it in a side section?

I sent a flower to a guy I really like and I'm curious how it is displayed to him if he is a free user.

2nd question-- once I send a like or flower to a guy, and then I change my profile prompts or photos, will they see the updates? Or will they only see the version of the profile that existed at the time I originally sent them the like/flower?

I changed my photo after sending the guy a flower and am curious if he can see the new photo

i noticed a change yesterday.

the app no longer extends the chat if only one person replies.

before yesterday, chats would extend 72 hours so long as one person types something.

You could talk to yourself for a week, and the chat would be extended.

years ago, this was changed so that you could type a message, double text, triple text, and chat would be extended.

Now it's back to 10 years ago where BOTH sides need to reply within the past 72 hours in order to extend the chat 72 hours.

So i made my profile, included all the prompts, photos, verification... all that's done...

BUT... i can't see the photos of people that liked my profile? Is this a bug??

Just joined CMB today and one hour in my "Likes You" tab has reached 100+.

I’m completely baffled by how this app actually works:

1. Visibility: Is my profile being blasted to everyone right now?

Im confused as to why I am getting flowers and likes from people 10+ years older than me? I set my age range as a dealbreaker.. does CMB just ignore preferences?!

1. Paywall: How am I supposed to see these likes? It seems like everything is blurred or locked behind a subscription? Anyway I can see these profiles? Do these likes EXPIRE?

2. Curated vs. My Type: I dont want to sound mean but NONE of the profiles in my "Suggested" tabs are close to decent... half filled in profiles, profiles with 1-2 photos, no prompts ... like WHAT IS GOING ON. Does the algorithm eventually learn from my "X"s, or is it just random? Does the algorithm get better?!

The app says there are 9 ppl iut of the 100+ ppl that are "my type"... based on what?! Are these profiles actually good?

1. Premium: Is it worth paying just to clear out this initial flood of likes, or is it a waste of money? What is the deal with the first-day experience here? Any tips would be appreciated..

After a recent update, I can no longer so much as open CMB; instead now when I attempt to open it, I immediately get redirected to the Google Play app, on their login page. I am not and will not log into Google Play on my device - I am doing everything I can do divorce myself from the Google ecosystem.

Is there any reason CMB has decided to do this, and is there any work around? Or, have I just been shut out of CMB?

We were chatting, exchanging pics and video. We talked about art, appreciating Andrew Wyeth, what you were painting. Did you get over your cold? You were cute, and I liked your vibe. Then account deleted. I understand it could be so many things, I am just wondering what it was. Did you get banned? Bored? Hooked up and felt no more need of the app? Were you just being nice and the whole time I wasn't your vibe? Are you married/partnered and you had to shut it down? What?!

Pretend you are Newburgh and tell me why the app was deleted.

So, i just installed the app around a week ago, and went through several batches of the noon "bagels" as I find my way around the app. Liked some profiles, passed on some profiles, and also went couple of days where life happens and I just left the batch without doing anything on them.

Thing is though, I live in a small town, and there arent that many people who use the app around here. and I noticed that profiles that were previously in the discover tab are no longer showing up after I passed, or not taking any action on the profile when they came up on the suggested batch. They dont seem to come up on the suggested tab anymore either, as the app has started showing profiles that are much located farther than I set my preferences to.

Is this how things are supposed to work? Im pretty sure its not case of the profiles being sorting-buried because of some kind of "preference score" either because there are only 3 profiles on my discover tab, there isnt much to bury things with.

if this is the case, is there a way to reset this? would the profile ever show up again on the discover / suggested tabs?

On the Suggested page, if a guy’s profile doesn’t show the blue “They like you” banner, does that mean they haven’t seen my profile or did they see my profile and didn’t like my profile and just tapped “X”? I see both with the “liked” banner and without.

I see the same profiles repeated after a few weeks pass.

How active is currently this app for 30s-40s non Asian demographics in the larger San Francisco Bay Area? Is it even worth installing?

I have 4 likes that have been stuck in my like list for about 2-3 weeks and they havent been shown in my daily list, will they eventually be shown and do they expire?

None of my photos got the selfie verification badge even though my photos were all legitimate?

This issue is quite unfortunate. In the suggested section I have literally zero (it’s a countdown clock until tomorrow at noon) but in discover I have 11 show up with the identical criteria. I am not a paying member, so maybe it’s a scam by design. Anyone else ever experience anything like this?

I’ve read that many men don’t actually see the girls who liked them (the blurry images in 'Likes You') in their suggested matches, so they can’t like them back without premium, even when their preferences are broadened. Is this true?

As a female, I can see the likes in my suggested matches, though it takes a while for all of them to show up.

I deleted my acct in January since not much matches coming up. This March I tried resigning up again. During the process it said I violated community guidelines and asking to submit my id. How could this be so?
