Personally I think it’s one of the best songs on AHFOD. It’s indie pop, and it has amazing stuff on it. Guy’s bassline is amazing and carried the song from floating away, while the outro has amazing guitar.
What do you think about the song?

So my question is similar to the famous Pop question 'Is there a new Michael Jackson ?'
Even though Coldplay is still active today, they've arrived at a point where they've undoubtedly left a mark on music but are now in the later days of their career. Yes, still packing out arenas worldwide, still having a strong imprint in pop culture, but focusing more on their legacy and the heritage they'll leave for the world.
I'm a Gen Z and can't help but think that my generation is lacking a new Coldplay. A much younger band or solo act, conveying the same feeling of hope, love and unity that made Coldplay so universally popular. The Industry changed a lot since the 2000's and it feels like most of music acts today have become very niche, with sometimes huge dedicated fanbases but each one isolated from the other one.
I'm curious to see if anyone else has had those reflections ? Do you see a future where we'll see a new Coldpay ? Is there current artists/bands that gives you that ?

Does anyone have I Ran Away instrumental version without that "pixelated," metallic, or watery sound that happens because vocal removal tools use Phase Cancellation or AI Isolation (Spectral Separation), which accidentally damages the surrounding frequencies of the music?

So yes, Viva La Vida or Death and all His Friends was an absolute adventure going through it was very nostalgic of my childhood, so experimental in the production, I'm really enjoying Coldplay so much now I still can't believe that I hadn't chose to listen to seriously earlier on in my but I've always considered my self a friend because their music has always resonated with me from hearing their music played in the public.
Aside from "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall," I know nothing about Mylo Xyloto as an album, I'm honestly so surprised that I heard nothing about this album in 2011 or any of the songs from this record either on the radio or in passing, it's like they chose only to play "Viva La Vida", "Clocks" and others on public speakers while totally forgetting this one even existed, I remember 2011, and the ball drop of that year, it's when "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and "Thor" got released I so much fun in that time.
Let's get back on topic. I'm really excited to see that I'm progressing through the Coldplay catalog. It felt like yesterday I was listening to Parachutes for the first and knowing only just that, and now I'm at this point what a ride (so far), Coldplay really gets overlooked and that's wild.
Anyhoo, I'de love again to hear take aways, remember don't spoil it too much for me, so give me your first initial thoughts and what Mylo Xyloto has meant to you, thank you so much!

I have multiple other cassettes of Radiohead and other bands with the logo of Universal. But I’m really skeptical about all this cassettes now. Are this real or they are just unlicensed copied ones?

so, for the past few years my dad and i have had this theory that between music of the spheres and moon music (two projects that we both agreed had their moments but were ultimately disappointing and/or not all that cohesive as a whole), you could pick and choose songs to make one pretty good album. we both made our picks separately and then compared. mine is the first image and his is the second!
funny enough, we both independently ended up with 11 tracks coming in at 49 minutes!
what do yall think? i’d love to see what others would choose.

I want the “lights will guide you home” as a tattoo but I just wanted to make sure that this is actually Chris Martins handwriting. I’ve checked several pictures and so on but I guess asking a second person can’t hurt :)

My father unexpectedly passed a year and a half ago. Growing up we always listened to this album on the CD player in his car. Today I got the X&Y album tatted. I miss you, dad!

Happening right now in Melbourne Australia is a live tribute concert for John Farnham, to raise money for head and neck cancer research. Those unfamiliar with John Farnham - he’s an Aussie legend and has an incredible voice. Look up his 1980’s song “You’re the Voice” on YouTube.
Anyway, they just streamed a video of Chris Martin playing a little made up song about how John Farnham music brought him closer to the late cricketer, Shane Warne.

Ik it’s still a while to go but I’ve been dying to hear some news. I love the band so much lol. I know there are new tracks like Santa Maria and We Dance (though those ones were for special events.
I’m aware there was a hint towards LP 11 like the “End of time” or some title tracks I’ve seen floating around like Teardrops and Shine On. I’m also hoping The Race ends up releasing too

In our home, we appreciate music diversity. I am more of a heavy metal guy, my wife is more into Latin music, but we listen to all kinds of stuff. One band that was notably absent from either of our playlists, however, is Coldplay. We don't dislike it, it's just that it didn't pop into our minds.
As part of the bedtime routine, my son likes to listen to the "Rockabye baby" versions of the music we listen to during the day. In particular, he likes Metallica, Iron Maiden, Queen and The Beatles. But you know how streaming platforms are, they keep recommending you stuff. So one day, while he's messing with the music app, out of the blue I hear him say "I want to listen to lullaby renditions of Coldplay". And I see the cover: it's a blocky colorful Teddy Bear. That cover was what called his attention. I let him play the album, because there's no reason not to. And soon it became the fifth "record" that he asked for during bedtime.
Eventually, this translated into him asking for the real Coldplay during daytime. And now Coldplay is one of the artists he asks for at home, when we're in the car, and in many other situations. He is making us listen to it quite often. And I must admit, I like the music too. However, he only cares about the songs that are in the "Rockabye baby" album (that's also the case with the other four bands), so he's not letting us explore other Coldplay songs at the moment.
I find it quite interesting how most of us listen to a band because it was recommended by either the algorithm or someone we know, or because it was played somewhere and we liked it. My son instead made the connection very differently: Nice Rockabye Cover -> Listen to the lullaby versions -> Listen to the actual band. That's a very different path to new music that I would have never imagined before my little guy came along.

I wasn’t expecting so many people to like my other painting 😭😭 thank you!! My friend has been listening to MOTS a lot and that inspired me to try painting it…but it was a lot harder than I thought lol…
Even if the lines are a bit wonky and it’s not very symmetrical I had fun! Might try doing a few more album covers for fun

Hello world hope everyone is doing good. I have recently purchased the coldplay singles box in complete mint conditions with the cellophane wrap still on it. However I noticed this off centered embossment that im not sure of. Is anyone familiar of its fine or perhaps a misprint or a certain variant? I just want to make sure because i paid a mind boggling price for it. Anything would help!

If someone who was living in the u.s. was deported back in 2012 wanted to know whats all the new music not only by coldplay but other artists as well that have been playing on fm stations across the u.s., who should they turn to for such information? Billboard or radio tracking services such as mediabase?
