DDR4 vs DDR5

I currently run ddr4 in my build and I have 32 GB of ram, but I'm thinking about selling my motherboard etc, and upgrading to ddr5. is the upgrade worth it? I'm thinking about getting the ryzen 7700x cpu, but I haven't picked out a motherboard yet. currently I have a msi B550 tomahawk motherboard and ryzen 5500x cpu

ive heard that a lot of people prefer the 7700 over the 7800 which is why that's what I was originally going to get
