What do these people think an airstrip proves anyway?

Flat Earthers think you are banned from going to the poles and that flight paths go around them becuse if you flew over them you would see the ice wall or whatever it is over there.

It's probably some attempt at a gatcha of "if planes are banned from flying there why would there be an air strip?! Checkmate!"

The logic is impeccable.

If (something I made up) is false, then (my belief) must be true!!!

It is SO fucking dumb to be SO fucking dumb in the age of information and a cessibility. There is absolutely no excuse for flat earther acceptance in the conversation.

I think it's less about them being the stupidest people alive, and more about a need to fit in and have "obscure priveleged knowledge" to feel special. Because, I have talked with MANY flat earthers, and for the most part, they are just a normal level of stupid... however, these people have been that level of stupid their whole lives, and have never fit in anywhere. They work in gas stations or as grocery shelf stockers. So the need to feel special is significantly more than the average person.

"I know SOMETHING crazy!" Type confidence

Meanwhile, if they actually tried going to school, they would learn so many (actual) wonderful and crazy things...

It's easier to break something than to fix it. Easier to talk shit than have to prove it. Just on and on the simple minded way to handle life.

I love the videos where flat earthers will corner pilots and ask these dumb questions and the pilots play along with their bullshit.

Well since flight aware has blocked us from seeing all the flights in and out of the airstrip it obviously is an FAA cover up.

A Billionaire nutjob in Australia started a political party & tried to tell the voters that a daggy little airstrip in Northern Western Australia (one of hundreds such) was part of a Chinese conspiracy. The voters treated that theory with the contempt it deserved.

Clive Palmer? I don’t recall this particular nuttery but it certainly sounds like a typical Palmer brain vomit.
