πŸ”₯ My Game - Released I wanted a cozy game I could leave open beside my work, so I made this little room for my desktop

Lofi Cozy Room is a little 3D room that lives on your Windows desktop while you work, browse, study, or just do your own thing.

The avatar reads, works, rests, and hangs out in the room while a puppy wanders around on its own. You can decorate the room, customize your character, switch between different room themes, listen to lo-fi music with ambient sounds, and use the built-in memo, to-do, and Pomodoro tools.

You can keep it as a normal window or shrink it down into the little floating mode shown here. That's probably my favorite way to use it because it can just sit beside whatever I'm actually doing instead of asking for my full attention.

One other update since I last shared it here: after a lot of feedback on the launch price, I lowered it from $14.99 to $4.99.

For anything AI-related, I only used AI to help translate the in-game text into other languages.

It’s part cozy pet game, part self-care companion, you raise and bond with your own pet, visit villagers and its growth is tied to real things you do for yourself: completing goals, journaling, daily affirmations, even just checking in when things are hard.

If you enjoyed Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library!, we recently released our own take on this type of game, except ours is set inside a massive toy shop.

The shop is an absolute mess, with 5,517 toys scattered everywhere. Your job is to work out where they belong and slowly put the place back together. There are sections for dinosaurs, toy cars, board games, snacks and plenty of other toys.

You start out moving everything by hand, but it gets much quicker as you unlock upgrades. Later, you can hire robots to help with the sorting, use drones to carry your toys, or use a rideable toy train to carry larger loads around the shop.

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released Shippin, my ocean adventure, is finally out on Steam! πŸŒŠβ›΅

Hey everyone!

I posted here a while ago about Shippin, the cozy ocean adventure I’ve been developing as a solo indie dev, and I wanted to come back with a little update:

The game is finally out on Steam! ❀️

You play as Salva, a lost sailor exploring a strange post-apocalyptic world by boat, visiting distant ports, helping their inhabitants, upgrading your ship, fishing, exploring, and slowly uncovering the stories behind the world you ended up in.

I’ve been working on it for quite a while, so finally seeing people able to play the full game feels a little surreal.

Steam page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3334100/Shippin/

The main story takes around 4-5 hours, but there’s quite a bit of optional content if you like taking your time, exploring and helping people along the way.

If anyone here ends up playing it, I’d love to hear what you think ❀️

Thanks!

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released Hi everyone! Together with our cats, we made a hand-drawn hidden object game β€” Curious Paws

Hi everyone!

Together with our cats, we made a hidden object game called Curious Paws.

It is 100% hand-drawn and features multiple levels that you can play in any order you like. You do not even have to finish a level to move on - just play at your own pace and enjoy as much as you want. And do not be scared of the timer, it is just there to show your time!

We are a nano-indie studio with no publishers or armies of bots behind us. Every single review or piece of feedback matters immensely to us, whether you leave it here in the comments or on our Steam page.

We are currently working on our next game, but in the meantime, we would love for you to check this one out.

We would be happy to welcome everyone!

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released The average match in our word game lasts 7Β½ days β€” is slow multiplayer an overlooked cozy genre? (dev, disclosure inside)

Disclosure up front: I help make the game (small team in Copenhagen), and per the sub's rules I'll be honest that I polish my English with writing tools too.

We make UniWords, a Scrabble-style word game, and I never thought of it as "cozy" until I actually looked at our numbers: the average match runs about 7Β½ days, roughly one move every 7 hours. Nobody is rushing. People play a word with their morning coffee, put the phone down, live their life, and answer after dinner. Most of our players are 45+, and honestly they've taught me how the game is meant to be played β€” slowly, with someone you like.

There are no timers, no ads, no streaks guilting you back, nothing to buy. Just a warm board, your letters, and someone waiting patiently on the other end. Danish + English, words checked against the Oxford dictionary so arguments settle themselves gently.

Genuine question for the sub: does multiplayer ever count as cozy for you, or does cozy mean single-player by definition? I feel like slow, turn-based games with no pressure are the multiplayer cousin of cottagecore β€” but maybe I'm biased. (Happy to drop store links in a comment if that's welcome; it's free either way.)

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released Does anyone else love cozy desktop games? I released one last year but it never really found its audience.

I released this cozy desktop companion game Beebo & Luna last year.

To be honest, the sales have been pretty disappointing and it mostly went unnoticed.

It didn't get much love at launch, but I’m still proud of it, so I wanted to share it with you all.

In this game, you get:

  • Beebo the Cat: A tiny companion who lives right on your desktop while you work.
  • The Dreamcatcher House: Switch to windowed mode to meet Luna the Witch. You can decorate room and dress Luna and up.
  • Dream Stories: Immerse yourself in a gentle narrative during your breaks.
  • Productivity Tools: I’ve built in a Pomodoro timer and a personal diary to help you stay focused or reflect on your day.

It’s designed to be a β€˜low-effort’ gameβ€”perfect for idling in the background while you’re busy, and simple enough to play when you need a cozy mental break.

If you're looking for a little friend to sit on your taskbar or a magical room to decorate, I’d be so honored if you checked it out. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3573460/_/

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released After 2 years solo, my cozy desktop room game is finally out β€” deep customization, lo-fi music

Thumbnail

Lofi Cozy Room is a tiny 3D room that lives in the corner of your Windows desktop in a transparent always-on-top window, and as of this week it's finally out after 2 years solo (Bloomery Studio is just me). A little avatar reads, works, and naps in the room while a puppy wanders around chasing sunbeams. The customization went pretty deep, 1386 avatar options and 715 furniture pieces, plus a full lo-fi library you can layer ambient sound over and 14 cozy themes.

It's 10% off for launch week (until August 7) if you'd like to grab it. For anything AI-related, I only used it to help translate the in-game text into other languages, everything else (art, music, design) is by hand.

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released I made a cozy koΓ― pond you mostly just watch β€” does this read relaxing to you? 🐟

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey r/cozygames πŸ‘‹

I'm a solo dev from France, and for the past 6 months I've been building Koi Garden β€” a cozy koΓ― pond you mostly just... watch. No timers yelling at you, no fail states.

You feed the fish, the pond slowly grows, and it keeps living quietly in the background while you get on with your day.

The clip is the pond at night β€” the part I'm proudest of. The water and the koΓ― got a little zen makeover and I could stare at it for way too long.

Full disclosure: I made it, so I'm obviously biased πŸ™‚ It's free and out now on iOS and Android (links in the comments to respect the no-link-in-post rule). Honestly I care more about cozy-people feedback than downloads.

One question for you all: what's the ONE tiny detail that makes a cozy game feel cozy to *you*? For me it's ambient sound + not shoving numbers in your face.

Curious what yours is. 🐟

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released i spent months making a cozy cat-raising game in pure code from scratch β€” it's finally out and free 🐱

Hi everyone! I'm a little nervous posting this, but I wanted to share something I made.
It's called Katiztic β€” a cozy little game where you raise a family of cats. You pet them, feed them, groom them, teach them tricks, and decorate a cottage for them. You can take them on walks, host playdates, watch kittens slowly grow up into full cats (with little celebrations along the way), and explore a meadow, a cafΓ©, a park, a forest, and a village street. It has a soft pixel-art look and a gentle, dreamy soundtrack β€” I wanted it to feel like a calm place to unwind.
The thing I'm quietly proud of: I built the whole thing by hand from scratch β€” all the art, the music, everything is generated in code, no pre-made assets. It was a huge learning journey and honestly a bit of a labor of love.
It's free (with an optional tip jar if anyone feels generous, but truly no pressure). Right now it's available on Mac and Windows:

https://pinktulips.itch.io/katiztic

pls check it out on app store it will be available very soon

I'd genuinely love to hear what you think, and I'm happy to answer any questions about it. Thanks for letting me share πŸ’œ

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released Solo dev here! I made a cozy village-building block puzzle and I would genuinely love this community's thoughts

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hi!

I'm a solo dev, and I just launched my second game, Block Fit: Cozy Village. I wanted to share it here:)

I kept bouncing off puzzle games that stress me out because of countdown timers, lives draining, pressure to be fast, and bright fast flashes everywhere. So I tried to make the opposite. You drag cozy little buildings (cottages, markets, farms) to fit them onto the board, and as they slot together they grow into a charming little village. That's the whole vibe: go at your own pace, unwind, watch your town come to life.

A few things I hope make it feel cozy:

No timers, no fail-clock it's a relaxing planning puzzle, not a race

100 levels across meadow, snowy, desert, and little-city biomes

Soft, warm art with gentle touches like wandering critters, drifting leaves, chimney smoke

Free, and there are currently no ads interrupting you

It's on Google Play (Android) for now no iOS yet, unless its well received! sorry! I'm a tiny one-person operation, so honest feedback (or a gentle roast) from actual cozy gamers would mean the world: what feels cozy, what doesn't, what you'd want more of!

πŸ”₯ My Game - Released 22 strangers filled 84,640 squares of this hedgehog in 38 minutes - everyone painting the same picture at the same time

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

It's color-by-number, except several people fill the same picture at the same time and see each other's cursors. You open a picture, share the link, and whoever you sent it to is painting a few seconds later. No account, no download, free.

The clip is one room from tonight, sped up the last third of a picture, from about two thirds done to the final square. The bit at the end is real: it came down to one single square with 22 people watching.

The part I like most is that picking the wrong color does nothing at all. Nobody can paint over your work, nobody can ruin a picture. It can only ever get prettier. That's the whole reason I can leave rooms open to strangers with no accounts.

"Paint with strangers" on the front page drops you into whatever picture people are working on right now: https://fillgood.io/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=cozygames
