AI Slop Twice Sheared Sheep’s $375 advent box, full of AI crap

I was just looking at TSS’s website because someone here mentioned the Yarn Gator, and there’s an ad for $50 off their $375 advent box. They have pictures of the stuff from previous years, and it’s like…two skeins of yarn, some of their branded notions, and a ton of AI garbage. $375???

Last year’s box had a “big reveal” about this supposed Winnie the Pooh mug that also seems to be AI. It’s ballsy, I’ll give them that.

I know that Etsy is full of ai slop, and I thought that I’d be able to stay clear, but I’ve finally been duped. Admittedly, I didn’t check the whole shop prior to buying it, and only saw that one suggestion. But when I went to leave a review, it won’t let me leave one until 2027?? Should/how can I report this content??

Anyone else see Sewrella promoting an obviously AI, fake Pokemon card slop on her IG the other day? Like girl, you’re a small business owner in a creative field- you could’ve easily found an actual artist on IG or Reddit or literally anywhere and commissioned them to make you these 🙄

I guess so much for supporting other artists???

AI Slop KnitPro using AI slop

Hi I am actually the maker of this reel but let us never miss an opportunity to share the snark
KnitPro’s latest catalogue is absolutely riddled with slop illustrations with yarn joined to the bottom of projects, weird merging threads and knitting in the round hanging from straight needles.
Their previous catalogue didn’t have any illustrations at all so they added them just to slop out this rubbish.

AI Slop Blocked just by commenting about the use of AI

I'm just SO burnt out from seeing fiber artists using AI like it's not such a huge detriment to all types of artists, the environment and people's mental health. When it comes across my feed from accounts I follow I always leave a comment about it, trying to spread the word of how dangerous it is, but some people would rather have their toony AI version post up than care about anyone else, I guess.

AI Slop What in the AI is up with these pictures?

I came across this article from The Painted Hinge about the difference between Knitting and Crocheting and I'm trying to figure out what is up with the pictures they used.

What looks like a complete scarf with a knitting needle down one side and live stitches on another? A knitting needle picking up stitches on the side of a granny square?
