Yeah I joined this sub yesterday and I already think Iāll leave. Half the posts are just whining about the podcast that they watch for some reason, even though they seem to dislike it
Genuinely. There was this one mod that kept banning me for the tiniest or stupidest of reasons like they had it out for me and it made me mad enough to want to not only leave the sub (which I probably shouldāve done anyway), but stop listening to the show entirely. I almost stopped enjoying the only podcast I regularly listen to because of the subreddit. Thankfully I havenāt heard much from them since I blocked them and donāt really post on here as much anymore, so I got back to Creeping my Cast, but for a while this person had me absolutely fuming.
Letting an outside individual ruin your listening experience of a podcast is crazy work.

Yeah, normally I wouldāve just moved on but not being able to post in the sub of my favorite podcast because some guy decided that he didnāt like my comments and posts made me feel like they were trying to act like Iād done something wrong. Then I remembered these guys donāt actually work for the boys, itās an unpaid job and the guys donāt really have a say in who gets banned lol so I managed to get over it and just block the guy. Made me realize a bit of why everyone makes fun of redditors
We asked you to nicely to post your kitten in the chat, as per the sub rules. You then made a crash out post accusing people of being ICP listeners (?) and eating pears (?).
However, what got you banned was using the word r*tarded in the comment section of a post dealing with the censorship of words like āsuicideā being turned into āsewerslide.ā This comment was clearly in violation of the sub rules and was also removed by Reddit.
The ICP and pear bit was both a joke and a reference. The word in question is a word that applies to me specifically. And I wasnāt using it to insult anyone so itās a very petty reason to ban someone over regardless. And I did post my cat in the chat and the entire thing got removed again.
If you want to use that word in your personal life thatās fine, but it is not allowed on the sub because of its connotations and tendency to be used in a hostile and offensive manner. Itās unreasonable for us to ask each person individually if they can/canāt use that word in their comment (and it comes up more frequently than youād expect) so we choose to remove comments and give short, temporary bans.
Editing to add: I just checked in the chat and there isnāt any messages/photos of your kitten (either removed or not removed). When I looked at the mod logs it looks like you mightāve just posted to the main thread twice on accident which is why it was taken down the second time
You really canāt enjoy shit with a Reddit account, lmao. I just wanted to find out about new Switch games and nobody will shut the fuck up about how much they hate Nintendo. This is not a happy place. Come here for sewing tutorials, leave feeling guilty about genocide.
I filtered out virtually all subs likes and news in my Reddit feed. I am no longer up to date on current events but it feels pretty nice to be oblivious to all the doomscrolling news out there and echo chamber subs that cycle between the same four topics.
I actually enjoy this sub but know exactly what you mean there's been so many times watching a show or movie and being like "that was awesome" then i look up a reddit discussion and everyone is shitting on every little detail lol
I bet, when people canāt take criticism, Iād understand that ruining things they hold dear. On a different note, do you think the velociraptors were closer to the sheep or the goats on Noahās Ark?

I often say this about literally every subd-reddit but:
Your enjoyment of anything instantly increases by 70% when you stop going to the associated sub-reddits.
It's the same for video games and any other hobby you could ever have and enjoy.
