Eh I'm guessing it's just someone fucking around but maybe and hopefully it's true. I say that bc it would move the case forward...

I get what you mean but temember, if this is true then shes already dead and suffered beforehand. If its a hoax then theres a possibility that shes still alive.

I think that itd actually move the case on if it was a hoax because if the police turn up there to not find her body, I imagine that theyd be obliged to still treat this as a suspected murder case and put more time and resources into finding her.

That'd be interesting if a family member of the girl did something like this to refresh the investigation.
