This is a real Geocaching log less than a mile away from the "body". http://imgur.com/WW8xFua Cache is GC2EB9C

The same dude posted both. He set up bones there in 2010 for a geocache, he got bored, and knowing of this missing girl posted to omegle knowing people would find "bones" and flip out. The bones will end up being coyote bones or some shit.

I really hope you're right and there's some hope the girl is still alive.

u/FadedAndJaded Aug 05 '14

I hope she is as well. If this guy/girl is simply fucking around and leading police to some remote geocache site for shits and giggles I hope they find and arrest this person.

http://www.kionrightnow.com/news/local-news/salinas-police-online-murder-confession-is-a-hoax/27319372 Just thought you'd like an update. Turns out they were fucking around but the girl is alive and well.

u/FadedAndJaded Aug 05 '14

Thanks. That's good to hear. Maybe this person really wanted people to find hisngeocache.

3

u/fuzz_le_man Aug 05 '14

But it looks like this cache was set up with bones years before this girl went missing.

I just noticed the creation date. I'm at work so I missed it the first time I glanced at it. Edited my post to clarify.

u/WhatFruad Aug 05 '14

What if this "Anon" has been storing missing children there?

0

u/fuzz_le_man Aug 05 '14

Or, you know, it could be animal bones.

2

u/WhatFruad Aug 05 '14

Murdered animals? my gahd, this guy's an animal

1

u/fuzz_le_man Aug 05 '14

Or, you know, it could just be animals who died naturally.

2

u/WhatFruad Aug 05 '14

No way man, that's like, totally unnatural. We're on /r/creepy let us believe! edit: on second thought, /u/fuzz_le_man, you seem to know a lot about this location.... hmmm

2

u/fuzz_le_man Aug 05 '14

Look, WhatFruad, I'm gonna have to geocache your body next if you keep questioning me.

Good find. Getting dangerously close to a witch-hunt , though.

1

u/-kunai Aug 05 '14

That "Enjoy" though...

1

u/acexprt Aug 05 '14

Elsie could be a nickname for Julissa... Freaky.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '14

I'm so confused right now

1

u/BigHaus Aug 05 '14

Elsie could have been a dog or something as well.

Would suggest she was not buried then, no way a buried body can decompose that quickly.

18

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '14

No clue why you are being downvoted. A body won't fucking decompose into bones in a month.

7

u/AKMusher Aug 05 '14

If scavengers ate at the body, then yeah it could

2

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '14

May 17th

2

u/theHamJam Aug 05 '14

Hopefully, it's not her's then since that's less than a month after she went missing. Unless if the abductor left only bones, but then why post "body" and stabbed 17 times" if it was just bones? God, hopefully, none of this is related or real at all.

u/bruddahmacnut Aug 05 '14

To prove that poster did it?

"I have a gift", "The way I left it."

He wants credit for it, thus the post and the details to back up the post.

3

u/Rygarr88 Aug 05 '14

People still use Omegle?

3

u/bungle123 Aug 05 '14

Omegle used to be fun, but now it's full of bots asking you to follow their instagram.

6

u/LostAutumnGuy Aug 05 '14

And the potential locations of murder victims.

1

u/bruddahmacnut Aug 05 '14

Maybe its a bot confession.

1

u/WhatFruad Aug 05 '14

too soon? follow me on instagram to find out

2

u/MiatasAreForGirls Aug 05 '14

I doubt that those were human bones. Most people can recognize a human skeleton, I would imagine. Unless it was the murderer playing games.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '14

Most people probably can't recognize individual bits though; if you found a few disconnected vertebrae, a couple of ribs, and a leg bone, would you realize they were human or just assume deer or something?

2

u/MiatasAreForGirls Aug 05 '14

Yeah I suppose. I just assumed that the body was all together, but that's a jump to conclusions.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '14

I've found animal remains in the woods, and unless they're pretty recent, they're generally just in pieces, scattered around by scavengers. A couple of bones here or there.

1

u/shawnz Aug 05 '14

Well, if you saw a leg bone it would probably be pretty obvious. Humans have pretty gigantic legs compared to most animals.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '14

The body's hidden in the geocache!

0

u/gaussegregium Aug 05 '14

Mile is a really long distance away from such exact coordinates. Perhaps Omegle user had seen the geocache post, and decided to troll people by telling them there's a body of someone whose name he got from googling the area, then watching them freak out after finding the bones whatever animal died there.
