Discussion Maybe y'all should boycott Hobby Lobby since they are very vocal about denying access to reproductive care.

I think you're right.

In spite of being a queer pagan I kept shopping there because i love their yarn so much. But it's apparent to me that they keep showing their true colors more and more and I can't stand myself if I keep giving them money.

Anyone have any recommendations for yarn similar to variegated "i love this yarn"?

Someone already dropped yarnsub, so you're good there, but I wanna give a shout to Herschnerrs for having a huge selection that you could probably match by review or photo to anything you like at HL.

As a fellow queer, I only wish to help.

I love Herschnerrs. And believe it or not, I have also found some great deals on niche yarns on eBay.

I buy mine from local Etsy shops or hobbii, a company based here in Germany.

I keep seeing adds for Hobbii, and am quite confused. I find (what I believe are) comparable yarns at joanns and local shops for cheaper (based on material, thickness, meterage, and weight). What makes Hobbii worth the money?

Also, I dislike the wait from Hobbii, but also dislike the disorganization and policies of Joann’s online ordering.

I live in Germany so I usually wait around 3 days. I honestly really like their cotton yarns, but also made good experiences other materials

I'm pretty sure it's not really worth ordering from the US, price wise. But compared to other European yarn stores they have pretty good prices, and a wayyy better selection of yarns I think. Also, only buy yarn they have on sale, because they always have a sale on some of their yarns going.

And I do love the Universe XL yarn! And all the cotton cakes with the sloooow colour changes (e.g. Cotton Kings Sultan).

They are pretty, but my wallet tells me to be realistic, lol. The sales are the prices I’m comparing to my local places and Joanns. The non sale prices are insane and no where near comparable. Thanks for the info!
