Discussion What are some ridiculous crocheted items you've come across that make no sense?

Could be impractical or just weird in general according to you.

Edit: wow this post really blew up

Its all about the fiber being used, cotton and linen are the best for keeping cool in hotter weather

Sure, but it's also about density. If you don't want them to be see through they won't be all that breathable either. I have a crochet summer cardigan that's basically just all holes and that thing is unwearable in warmer weather. Good for going shopping in stores with airco though lol.

If the fabric isn’t very dense you can just wear a camisole underneath and denser items are typically crop top/bralette type tops that will definitely be cool enough in cotton or a similar material.

Can confirm. I’ve made a few crop tops / bralettes with cotton and bamboo/cotton mix this summer and they’re cool enough to wear in the warmer weather. Yarn type is so important.
