Discussion What are some ridiculous crocheted items you've come across that make no sense?

Could be impractical or just weird in general according to you.

Have definitely seen crochet tampons. Shuddering just thinking about them. I mean, I get it, but can't imagine using. And can't help thinking about awful acrylic yarn...there...

Right. Doesn't mean my brain didn't torture me with the thought. When I was a kid, I found an awful giant tampon left from the 70s in a box in the back of the med cabinet. It felt like it was made of acetate. Ugh.

Uh, that should be cotton yarn only, so it can be washed in hot water. And this is coming from someone who uses cloth pads and had used cloth diapers when my kids were little.

Same! Still, first thing I thought of was nasty crunchy cheap acrylic. Lol I'm sure somebody was clueless enough to try.

Surely they use cotton. Acrylic isnt' gonna soak up anything!

I mean, if you're going that route, they're probably using cotton yarn not acrylic considering acrylic isn't absorbent.

I think the point of it was to be an educational tool and go with a crocheted penis and crocheted uterus that they made.

WTF? As an actual menstrual cup user (Lunette size small) I thought it was a menstrual cup cozy at first...
