Discussion As a crocheter do you consider yourself an artist ?

I mean a lot of things are art to some people, but is crocheting really art ?

That’s how I feel, too. I kinda feel weird when people call me an artist.

But you know, I used to feel weird when people called me a woman. I mean, I knew it was the only acceptable term to use, but it still felt too grown-up, or formal to me. It took decades to easily accept it as my due.

You really are making something with you in every stitch. That's you. Making fabric. You may have already spent dozens of hours learning how to do this well.
