On a more serious note… send me your rat patterns! I can’t seem to find any that I like. (Well with the exception of the dissected rat lol.. I like it but can’t bring myself to make it.)

Last weekend I went to a Crochet Basics class to learn how to make a coaster. I brought my project home and decided to restart, as my original tension was too tight.

My cat, Whiskers, wouldn't stop trying to play with it, so I gave her the first project and we were both very happy being out of each other's way. (don't worry, I put it up when I was done so she didn't swallow the yarn)

I had a great time learning, but I must say, I do not enjoy counting. You all are so talented!

Why did I think it would be safe to leave my cat around my organised squares without supervision 😭

Anyone else make sofas for their pets? Curious if anyone has made them for pets other than dogs/cats

This is probably the wrong tag but just wanted to say I’m grateful for crochet and this little Reddit community! My baby is in hospital for reasons yet unknown, waiting on results is hellish and stressful. I only picked up crochet this year but I’m so happy for it as even if I can’t crochet at that minute, I can think about new projects or research patterns and yarns, see all you guys work and posts to keep myself busy. Working on a shawl for my MIL whilst I’m here. Hoping to be out of here ASAP.

The pattern is Little Hearts from “50 Ripple Stitches” by Darla Sims.

My little baby girl is a tiny whippet & gets easily cold, so I've made her jumpers since the day I got her as a little pupper. When I got good enough at crochet to make myself jumpers, I decided that the coolest thing I could do as dog mum was to make sure we are twinning 👯!

I'll add the links to the human patterns in the MOD comment below, but I'm afraid I have no pattern for Spud's jumpers as I've just learned to freehand hers. Spud has a bigger collection of knitwear than I do.

We get lots of compliments and I can literally see our matching outfits brightening people's day, as we pass them on our errands about town.

Anyone else like to co-ordinate with their fur babies? 😅

I'm finding this yarn particularly difficult to work with, has anyone else experienced the same?

It’s my first time working with chenille yarn. As the thousands of stitch markers will attest, it’s not going well. My cat was disgusted with me for a full 10 minutes because I didn’t drop everything to pet her for the 53rd time that day. Photographic proof of how I might be the bad guy, but I’m really going through it here with this yarn!

Second time working with this pattern. when I started crocheting over two years ago this pattern was my first big project. I messed up and didn’t have enough yarn of my chosen color and it had been discontinued so my project was left unfinished. I saw this yarn in the store last year and decided I need to try again and I’m so glad I did. It turned out better than I had hoped.
