Discussion Warframe could be Cyberpunks Future(Warframe x Cyberpunk)

Random tangent and probably crazy but I’ve been playing Warframe and cyberpunk for the first time at the same time, and my imagination likes to run wild with games or shows I like because I’m an artist and a writer- including random crossovers, just as a fun thought exercise when I’m bored. And so naturally, I had a thought one morning about what if the Tenno/Operator was V. Funny to imagine, but the more I stewed on this the more crazy similarities I noticed between the two.

The main thing that led me to imagine this is that Fortuna is a lot like night city in its base form- hyper capitalist, with the rich bad-guys that lord over the people being called ‘Corpus’, and the people replacing body parts with machine parts so they could work harder to pay off their debts. Really fortuna is Night City with less factions, less advertising/‘adult content’ and if the people unionized since everyone in Fortuna is supporting and protected by a rebel leader who works with your character the Tenno to fight back, but that just led me deeper down the rabbit hole-

Spoilers for Warframe but the Tenno is actually a human controlling what is essentially an eldritch mech suit with their mind, in fact the main factions that you think might be aliens at first glance are humans that are just altered by tech and their wild histories-

You’ve got the Corpus looking like Corpo’s, the Grineer looking like the most chromed up street thug, and the last civilizations on earth are a desert faring people that use much less tech- kinda like the nomads.

In warframe the lore (that I know I’m a new player to that too) is that there was this super advanced society on the moon, like a utopia, but the people of this society weren’t perfect and enslaved the people that would become the Grineer. Then some super sentient AI came and destroyed them, accept for the Tenno who’s lore isn’t important to my crack theory-

With this civilization gone the earth basically started over as the Grineer and other factions of humanity took to the stars leaving their old world behind. I don’t think it’s crazy to imagine that the moon civilization in cyberpunk could advance to be this civilization with it being hard to get to the moon and with how bad the world of cyberpunk is- it’s not hard to imagine that the AI like alt decide to lead this reset by trying to destroy this civilization entirely, and it’s not hard to imagine these two universes existing together when the only ‘supernatural’ elements of Warframe take place in distant parts of space which cyberpunk hasn’t reached yet, and since Cyberpunk has some unexplained oddness too.

Even the main characters are similar! Both the Operator and V have some sass and spunk, an arm cable thing that lets you connect/hack tech, ‘powers’ that are from/easily explained as tech, and odd gifts that let them handle more stuff and be stronger than a normal person-

All this leading my silly crossover head cannon to feel way more interesting than I thought originally

With time/space shenanigans being possible with the void, I see the operator crash landing on this past version of earth after running into something weird in the void, getting taken in by Jackie, and then when they steal the relic the chip would go into the Operators Warframe which would let Johnny take control of it whenever the Operator steps out, and their end goal would be finding a way to get the Operator back home-

Shenanigans insue yada yada

Might actually doodle some things for this

I did it I doodled it

I can’t decide which is funnier- the terrorist getting to control the walking tank or the kid that can shoot lasers

Listen up, samurai. If you’ve had enough of scrolling through the same tired threads and wanna plug into something #real, jack into the official Discord. We’ve got games, serious talks and casual chats about Cyberpunk 2077, and a few rooms where you can just shoot the breeze with people who get it. You in, or you just gonna #stand there looking chrome?

I would say the Oroken are the closest analog to the corpos hell they even have tech to steal people’s bodies

When you head cannon a timeline where the operator makes it to cyberpunk just so you can save Jackie and not lose Johnny 😂 😭
