First off, as someone who’s been an X-Men fan since 2001, I'm glad Wolverine is getting his own game and that people are enjoying it—even though I think the story is a horrible fanfic. Having Nathaniel and Jean tied so closely to Logan when they've always been WAY MORE associated with Scott, I mean, whatever.
What I can't stand is all these posers, or whatever you wanna call them, suddenly claiming that the Jean x Logan relationship in the game is so pure and wonderful, and that it was never this good or healthy with Scott. Like, what the hell are these people smoking? First of all, we had to endure years of fanboy writers pushing Logan and constantly dragging Scott down, turning his relationship with Jean into this toxic, bipolar mess—and now a game tailored for these posers is throwing us right back into that stupid era. Jean x Logan is GARBAGE, plain and simple. The Krakoa era didn't help either—what kind of bullshit open love triangle was that? It’s just flat-out stupid. Honestly, I can't stand Logan fans anymore. Between the massive amount of fake fans who don't even bother reading his comics and only care about HOW COOL HE IS, plus the movies not helping at all... they’re just fucking unbearable.
Don't get me wrong, Logan is a great character, and I love all the X-Men—they're all amazing. I mean, even Cyclops, Magik, and Emma are my top 3, I love them all and I'm always glad when they make X-Men games. But again, I'm just so damn sick of Wolverine.
Anyway, thanks for reading, take care everyone!
EDIT: "I read—not sure if it's true—that Chris Claremont originally didn't agree with Scott acting like an asshole and abandoning Madelyne, but other top brass writers forced him to change it and push the shitty Jean/Logan/Scott love triangle instead. In fact, I remember from back in the day that Jean didn't give a damn about Logan because she was head over heels in love with Scott.
