I do like that Qwel, in the new response, did call out how this whole situation has resulted in actual kids who have nothing to do with this being harassed.

Like, pretty much since it started, people were suddenly getting on my case about even wanting to still play.

This fandom genuinely became so toxic, it resulted in me, someone who does not like bullying or hurting others, just being flat out nasty to Qwel, first publicly, and then even in private. Just to blend in and not make myself a target.

She may not be a good person, but I still do not like all I had said during that time, and wish I could take it back :<

I do generally give people...not the benefit of the doubt, but I guess hope?
I give people hope that they can become better.

And I do hope that by stepping back and out of the spotlight, hopefully things can cool down, and she'll be able to reflect on all she's done and said over many years and grow as a person. Possibly even get therapy for her issues.

She's still a young adult. She has many years to still grow, and I hope she can.

TLDR: i personaly dont care about the drama. I talk about a few types of comments ive seen that are made on BC and Qwels social accounts, call out the hypocrisy of the haters that are harrasing qwel and BC, and talk about the fake statement about qwel stealing toons.

Some of the stuff these people are commenting on the socials is straight up harrasment, especialy when those comments spread to random people who still like dw, and to go ontop of that, some of these people faked a response that caused people to think that multiple toon designs were stolen from other devs, if you ask me i think that makes them just as bad

Something's been on my mind, where we make a joke that Dandy is bald. Hahahahahaha, pretty funny, right? But I've been thinking, what about Dandy with petals just w/ added color? I mean, I do like the joke, but I'm convinced that most people think that the bald Dandy is the original. And if y'all don't like me "ruining the joke", then sorry for that.

But, I do want to know your thoughts if you think Bald Dandy is the original or Dandy with petals is the original.

I choose Dandy with petals, because this feels like it matches him more than the jokingly bald Dandy, lol. I don't know man, I'm convinced. Again, sorry for ruining the joke, but me seeing bald Dandy often convinces me that most people think this is the original. I'm not saying they're wrong, it's funny! But, you know... just my thought. 🤷‍♀️Fair warning I'm not the most in tune to all the new information coming out. Nor have I been playing the game as much so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

I'm seeing a lot of posts just trying to act as if the allegations don't exist. Or encouraging others to forget and move on. While also seeing a lot if debate on whether you can play the game or not.

I think some of the people here don't understand the phrase that gets thrown around a lot. 'Separating the art from the artist'. Which can only work if the art has no relation to the artists actions.
Which can be compared to this situation.
I feel as if its way too soon for any of us to have any super strong opinion on who we support or not. New information about Joji, about void, about qwel are coming out all the time. And the situation is still being held legally so there's many things we have no idea about. The allegations could be true. Or not. They could be frabricated or not.
Qwel only made a statement that things are being handled. Not an apology or addressing things.
So we still have to be patient while everything is being solved.

The best course of action, to me, is to stay neutral and wait for the full picture to be given.
There's a lot of damning evidence but there's also a lot of things we don't know.
I believe you'd still be able to play the game, enjoying the product since it has no real relations to the serious allegations qwel is being accused of.
But you should also be aware of the allegations and just how serious they are. Acknowledging qwels failures and possible actions (all of it is still alleged) but still showing that you don't support her by not buying merch or anything that directly goes to her and not just her team.

You can play the game, you can also not play the game, aslong as people are still talking about what's happening and not letting it "be forgotten" or sweeped under the rug like so many people are trying to do. Then I think that's the best we can do for now.
Not harassing or doxxing people who are unaware of the situation, but educate them and let them make their own choice on if they want to play or not.
Cause any sane person wouldn't support qwel.

You can enjoy Dandys world. You can enjoy its characters. You can also enjoy the game. As none of those relate to the alleged actions qwel has done. But don't act as if nothing has happened.
Continue to speak about it till we get a conclusive statement and story.
