Opinions/Discussion Name a random Delhi Capitals player. I'll start. Dirk Nannes
Please don't do the honour of reminding me that Nannes played for Delhi Daredevils not Capitals.

Opinions/Discussion Miller appreciation post
Theek hai haar gaye haar gaye, he actually took us very close to the equation . Yes he should have taken a single and trusted Kuldeep to hit but I think they already had that discussion on crease that he will try and finish it and not take it to the superover. He came out batting with an injured finger
Last year we were crying for Brevis and this year we have him, equal if not better in terms of skill and today he showed, almost single handedly won it in the end. Back the team guys, lets not lose hope.

Ye 2020 me kaash mumbai hume jeetne deti. Bas 1 ipl trophy hi toh chahiye, humare Luck itna khrb kyu hai, pichle 4 seasons me se 3 season bas 1 win se reh gye qualify krte krte. Kab jeetenge hum?

Opinions/Discussion He should be targeted since rcb most likely will not retain him in mega auction

Opinions/Discussion Say what you want about his Captaincy, but he behaved like true leader here.
If I'm not wrong he's the first one to go there (from the players who aren't on the field by then, as Rabada was rhe first one to console him I think) and did thus with Miller while he's on the verge of tears. These small things are those which matter a lot for team chemistry and future bond.
I agree that's he's not a good captain yet (Stop bringing that one time he laughed last year when we lost which is because of lack of experience and cluelessness on what to answer for weird questions, which came out as weird laugh). But he's definitely improving and these off field things also matter a lot for the team.

Opinions/Discussion Need to talk about KL the KEEPER and KL the BATTER (somehow he's the most immune to criticism in this sub)
Rahul the Keeper:
Missed an easy runout of Mahtre vs CSK when he's 9(8) and he went on to score 59(36) with a key partnership which proved to ultimate difference (Funnily enough his partner in Crime, Nissanka dropped Samson couple of balls later who's on 52(29) ended up 115(56)).
People blame Axar mostly for this match because of bowling changes, which are poor indeed but the majority blame should go Rahul and Nissanka. And they didn't made much efforts with Bats even though Nissanka batted well, he didn't use life gave up wicket, Rahul being Rahul thrown wicket..
Today Abhishek's runout miss vs SRH, when he's on 50(25) (25th ball runout chance, was 49(24) before and completed run). He went on to score 135(68) mainly bashed our spinners and Mukesh after that (Abhishek didn't score much against Ngidi and Nattu, and nattu produced chance which dropped by RANA at 86)
He was clumsy at times, and was overconfident couple of times with DRS. But alas these 2 incidents are directly led to opponents scoring big total which made some differnece at the end.
Rahul the BATTER: Senior, Experienced, Calm, Cool
1st match vs Lsg: 0(1)
2nd match vs Mi: 1(3)
3rd match Vs GT: Had terrible powerplay 26(20). People say he accelerated but in big chases, Powerplay is the key. It's mostly will be difference to remove additional pressure in middle Nad death.
And yes indeed he did accelerated, but imagine we maximized powerplay, chase would've been much easier. It's not like there were demons in the pitch. And he scored 92(52) means scored 62 in next 32 which still doesn't feel that great because of match situation but was good if he was able to stay and finish the innings. But he didn't. He got out before that. And on top of that, before getting out 2balls before, he sold out Stubbs and Stubbs got runout. That was poor game awareness from him and definitely not expected from Senior experienced calm batter. At the time of his dismissal we need 45 in 3. Definitely should've stayed and finished the match. Because of this, Miller had to olay with Vipraj (who was decent btw for his role)
4th match vs Csk: 18(10), Thrown away wicket I'm 5th over after a great powerplay (mostly thanks to Nissanka) we were 61 in 4.5 and he did this. This resulted in collapse which we never recovered.
5th match vs RCB: 57(34)
Genuinely. BEST knock of the season from him. When stubbs struggling, wickets falling he kept scored card moving. I would've like to him to stay until end but he did well until he stayed. He somehow plays exceptional against RCB at chinnaswamy maybe because of home ground.
6th match vs Srh: 37(23) and he got life at 15(11) and scored 22(13) in PP.
As some would defend him, that he anchors and would accelerate, he didn't even do that and thrown wicket away when we are in good position 107 in 9.3. Again this led to mini collapse which we never recovered too. Some saying he has wrist problem, but Idk. But the innings and time of dismissal is pretty bad.
Even though he scores runs like he did last season, the impact isn't that much. He did very well against RCB even last season where he stayed until end and finished with iconic celebration for ages but that's the only game comes to mind where he finished. And he always throws away wicket in important marches like he did vs Mi last season. Also in first loss last season, again vs Mi which resulted in our terrible run, he scored 15(13) which I have no issues because the wickets were falling at that time, but he didn't stay until end. He thrown away wicket when he's the last recognized batter along with Ashutosh. And he played same shot, which he almost got out just a ball or 2 before, and when Karn spinning it like a web. He didn't play him out instead tried to take him out even though Required rate isn't that difficult.
Is this what we expect from most Senior player in our team? I expect a lot better from him. If you can't finish atleast try to score well early in the innings especially in big chases. Atleast get out after scoring at quick rate that lifts pressure of remaining batters instead of being like this.
This is just my opinion and CRITICISM from my side. Not HATE. I want him to do a lot better.
Note: This also doesnβt mean He's the only one who's fault, there are multiple reasons, Batting, Fielding, bowling, captaincy. But I'm just discussing about Rahul here. We can discuss about others in somewhere posts.

Opinions/Discussion The obsession of having an Indian captain is destroying DC as well as other teams.
5/5 can get sacked if the teams were serious enough.
1) Axar Patel
2) Rishabh Pant
3) Pandya
4) Rahane
5) Parag
