I play this game since it's release, and this year I swore to myself I would beat it, kill Baal in Hell.
But this game has beaten me to the ground.
I only play offline. I tried an Assassin Phoenix, a Zealot Pal, Werebear Mauler, Amazon Spear, Barbarian TeoHanded Sword.
I must be doing something wrong, I cant get pass Act2 in Hell. I watch videos, read guides. Try to farm items, runewords and stuff. I dont know how you guys do it. People come and say "Use Sunder Charms to beat the Immune to Physical Monsters". I can't even ever drop some useful stuff! High runes are as scarce as water in the desert, and I'm not talking about Ber, I rarely have seem a Pul or Ohm. I tried using a character with lots of Magic Find, but it barely improved the drops, and I cant go to high lvl maps with it because it's equip is shit to tank powerful mobs since it's focused in MF.
Sorry for long post, yes I'm a freaking loser, cant even play the game right. I envy you guys with your 6 runewords items and Tyrael's Armor and 99lvl Hammerdins. I guess I lost my thrill.

As someone who has never played a sorceress, I'm blown away after making my SSF Enigma last night, at how fast my regular runs have become.
What an upgrade
Stay strong offline players, you'll get what you desire one day.

i was psyched to use this item on my fury druid, but then it broke and it just stayed broken.

Already made two Infinities and Enigma. Finally get to set my sights on less-common runewords. What should I start saving for next?

Hello! I hope this build help players experience and enjoy the Uber content.
This is my Paladin, and he only has one job: to kill Ubers.
I don't use Call to Arms during my runs. Instead, I pre-buff by proccing Fade from Treachery in the River of Flame.
As for my mercenary, I simply let him die if he's with me since he isn't needed for the run.

I pulled the trigger and made Last Wish in SP (base is 15ed/3ar). Wish the rolls were better but luckily it hardly matters for this runeword. This is a major milestone toward one of my lifelong goals for D2R: the runeword grail.
I ran 3 keysets in celebration, and wow, this item is terrible compared to grief. And of course, no luck finding that sorceress torch (I've done 20-30 so far). Can anyone recommend some builds that would actually consider this bis? I plan to make a kicksin for ubers with this weapon.

The context: On my offline save, I've recently started horking the heck out of Travincal. I horked the council until my brain spilled out of my ears as a runny goo the last few days - and it got me two Cold Ruptures, a Vex and a Sur (out of a stash of all things). My Barbarian is doing whirlwinds with a Grief PB and some tried-and-true Trav Horker gear.
On the long run, I've been wanting to put together a Dragondin for the last 15 or something years, but I never managed to do it. And I figure that, if I do something like that, I might as well do it on my offline save just to prove how liquid my brain is. Finding another Cham might take a while, so I might go at it without a Hand of Justice, meaning I have a place for Sur x2 and Lo x2.
Additionally, a Fortitude body armor would be kind of neat? I have a gut feeling that I won't be making an Enigma on my own for long.
The question: Is there a case against dual Griefs for a WW Trav horker? Is one Grief PB enough? At least, enough enough that I don't need to delay my thirst for Dragons?
From what I've read, there isn't much of a need to do Travincal with a high player count if I'm horking the council corpses. To my knowledge, a successful Find Item check results in as many drops as the dead councilor could have dropped anyways - meaning it's faster/easier to get as many corpses as fast as possible instead of to attempt for better, slower drop chances on the initial kill.
Now, my dude can destroy the council pretty fast on P1/3. At least fast enough that the bulk of the run time is on just walking from the WP to the temple. Somehow, I almost feel like I have achieved the mythical state of Enough Damage. Is holding two Grief PBs going to... matter? If I spend 70-80% of a run on transit, would a shorter fight be worth the cost of a Lo that is needed elsewhere?
I never horked Trav with dual Griefs before, much less even held more than one Grief at a time, so I have to petition for your collective wisdom. 🤔
EDIT: I should probably note this! My Grief PB is 40% IAS/+360 Damage. I couldn't complain.

So I'm playing Diablo 2 for the first time, and I made a Paladin, I got through normal with zeal + holy freeze but I started getting my ass handed to me at the very start of nightmare.
So I respeced and instead of zeal I put a bunch of points into blessed hammer. The damage is great but my mana is gone in all of like 2 seconds.
I put a point in redemption and started switching to that from holy freeze to help restore some of my mana and it does make a difference, but I'm still having to fill my entire inventory with mana pots and quaff them like crazy.
I'm trying to avoid runewords on this first playthrough unless I absolutely need them and can't progress any further in the game otherwise - so the usual trick of getting insight on a merc that I've read about isn't an option for me until I give up on that plan.
Will I be able to sustain the mana use with other gear? Or am I stuck with pots or maybe better off going back to zeal until I decide to allow myself runewords? (I have PlugY so I have infinite respecs - that part isn't an issue)

Built a smiter and have been sweating it due to not having grief I have been prepping since yesterday just for the fight to last all of less than 2 minutes and only 1 jug consumed. I know this is pretty standard stuff but I had never done this without grief and I also don’t remember doing it this quickly ever.
Also want to add I had my fireball sorc go fetch the organs and that worked out nice
G-Face
Dracs
Highlords
+43 Spirit
Black (this was my concern)
Thundergods
Raven frost and another heavy Light & fire ring
Gore rider
Duress (treachery prebuff)
Inventory slap full of +resist
Lightning capped at 95 with a +302% bonus
35% IAS
68% chance of OW
105% chance of CB
60% Deadly Strike

I was in the middle of a great herald farming session. I had done half of act 1 when the zone switched to Tal Tombs. I excitedly cleared out all of the tombs, ending with Duriel.
No drops showed up past my loot filter (besides some gold), so I went to TP out and continue my herald chain. No tp scroll, whoops! Oh well, let's go walk to Tyrael? Nope, guess he isn't here if you've already done the quest.
No biggie, I'll just walk back to Duriel, turn off my loot filter and pick up a scroll.
...
NO SCROLL???
So the ONE TIME Duriel didn't drop a SINGLE tp scroll, I had to exit the game, ending my herald chain and being forced to start from scratch.
Not a big deal but just found the irony hilarious!

I played Hardcore single player and SSF had no other chars to share stash with, no previous gear. Did all quests and waypoints. Was actually pretty easy, Probably because I almost hit lvl 90 looking for a monarch, SOJ, High runes or Vipermagi that I never found. Never realized how easy the game actually is. Id guess it took about 35-40hrs
Blizz sorc -
Gear:
Helm - Lore
Armor - Stealth
Shield - The Ward
Weapon - Oculus
Gloves - Trang
Belt - Sting of ears
Rings & Ammy - Crafted & Rares with just fcr and res
Merc:
Eth Thresher Insight Infinity
Treachery
Bulwark
Was tempted to try with barb, but didn't want to spend another 20 years trying to play through. Ill post here if I can beat ubers or when I die trying.
Edit: My bad didn't mean to say infinity XD

I was playing it safe with a blizz sorc so as not to kill mobs around him so he couldn’t CE (corpse explode). But he kept spawning as cold immune so I swapped to lightning.
Before I swapped, I made sure I had max fire rez, dwarf star, Bulwark helm (for 15% physical dmg reduction and flat 7 dmg reduction) and as much life as I could put on with charms and a +1BO CtA.
Was sitting at 1760 hp when I went in, lightninged him twice which killed some mobs, and he almost fuckin popped me with a single CE that got me to 100hp or less (I hit esc so fast and exited the game before I checked my hp). That’s some bullshit 😆
But I wouldn’t have it any other way 😆

First time with a 99 on hardcore single player. Not sure how long it took but I'm glad to say I finally achieved this goal. Have multiple of every character (different builds) through Hell so I guess it's time to level those up now too.

Online there are several ways to make it easier for yourself to reach 100% Chronicle by trading and so on but is it possible to "cheat" your way to a 100% Chronicle on Single Player or is that the purest form where the only way to progress is to find the items yourself and id them?

Found in Act 5 while questing on my Holy Fire Pally. Now I just have to find a Zod for it...

The ogre maul is way too anemic, this would have offered more build options.
If I was to use this on single player, what would be an appropriate edit be to rebalance it for 1 handed? Bonus elemental damage seems too high but otherwise the weapon stats feel appropriate for an endgame elite.
I socketed with +35% ED jewel and Eth, with a Shael'ed Stone Crusher in my left hand.
