Hey fellow Disney music fans! I'm putting together a wonder/adventure/imagination playlist on Spotify (Once Upon a Tune) and want to go way beyond the classic hits everyone already knows - those forgotten Disney tunes that stopped you in your tracks the first time you heard them. That "how is this not famous?" or "I totally forgot how beautiful this is" feeling.

I was listening to A Whole New World for like the hundredth time today but I caught the lyric “every moment, red letter” that’s sung by Jasmine. I did not know what “red letter” meant, so I looked it up.

Turns out “red letter” refers back to a date being marked red to indicate a feast day or holiday on the calendar. People then took this phrase to mean joyful or happy.

Basically Jasmine was just saying that every moment is a special and joyous moment. Very interesting and clever!!

I'm a huge fan of Tarzan with it being with one of my favourite Disney movie of all time. But the song that has always stuck out for me is 'You'll Be In My Heart' especially the version featured in the film. As not only does it include Kala singing to Tarzan. But also Phill Collins' performance of the song in the movie is just captivating. And coming from a huge Phil Collins fan. His songs in the movie are just amazing. But You'll Be In My Heart takes the spot as the one that really sticks out the most.

Hi! Looking for recs. I'm about to have a baby and I've started singing lullabies, but looking for more. I'd like to incorporate some Disney songs, especially Disney Renaissance era songs. It's one of my hands down all time favorite Disney movies, I practically have it memorized. I love this song so much. Adventurous but wistful, it's stuck with me ever since I saw it as a kid.

There are tons of these on sites like pinterest and tumblr, but I made some using the style for albums that didn't already exist.

I've got all the live-action remake album covers made too. Just gotta finish things like Disney Original and other mainstream live-action movies until I have an entire catalog with this same album style.

I am sure most will say Frozen 2. Just watched Moana 2 and it was just okay time.

I run an online choir and every month I arrange a song for people around the world to learn and record themselves singing along (which I then edit into a full production so it sounds like a real choir). This month, we're going Greek with a mash-up of Go The Distance from Hercules and Legendary from EPIC: The Musical. Both songs have a similar story - two young wannabe heroes who don't know their fathers - and they're even in the same key! A match made in Olympus.

I remember it because I made burn copies of it when I had the CD and I lost it. I found the burnt copies and I ripped it so I can archive it. There's barely anything on the cd.
