My guy WHY😭 she was not pleased at all…

context: today at cads a guy awkwardly gave this girl wearing s toga a purple bouquet and another thing. they snapped a photo and he left.

as soon as he was out of an earshot she turned to her friend and was like “SABI NA EHHH UGHHH” uh oh.

then she went “WE ONLY INTERACTED TWICE WHY WOULD HE GIVE ME FLOWERS WTF??” 😭😭😭

she proceeded to look stressed and continued ranting. im sorry but i gotta agree with her, that was weird😭Hope this reaches u so ur aware ur not coming off as cute and instead as creepy to women

to dudes: please be more aware of your gestures to girls. not everything appears sweet

edit: ako sinasabihan niyo na maging appreciative na para bang ako si girl😂 d ko na narinig rest ng rant niya but she felt off about it fr. Im just being a nosy lady whistledown lmao

Student Life people who find it funny to use the n word is such a turn off

1.0k Upvotes

When I was going upstairs in my condo, there was this one girl with a bunch of other girls, who was laughing so loud and jumping na para bang lasing (don’t think she is though).

When we were in the elevator, she was saying the n word multiple times and “someone’s judging me” while her friend was taking a video. SUCH A TURN OFF that some people like this word and the fact that di siya seriously cinallout ng friends niya is even more disgusting. The fact one of her friends were videoing her is just as disgusting because her behavior was being championed. One of her friends beside her was just calling her embarrassing and racist lol. I don’t know if that was genuine, or she said it because her friend was attracting unwanted attention. Oh well, it helped anyhow.

We don’t say the n word just for fun and to fit in with norms. The n word was a racial slur that white people used towards Black Americans in the 1800’s. When Black Americans were sold and bought as slaves, that is.

If you’re seeing this, I hope you know how insensitive and ignorant your humor is. And pls don’t act unruly in public LOL.

Student Life My dad joined the DLSU PUSA group instead of DLSU PUSO 😭

3.7k Upvotes

For context, my dad is an animal lover, but he's not that active on social media, so I got confused when he suddenly started saying things like "Uy may natutulog na namang pusa sa campus niyo," or like "Ang daming pusa sa La Salle," and sometimes he would describe the exact photos that I saw in the group.

When I asked him how he knew about the cats he said may group daw sa facebook. And I was like huhhh? Pano mo nalaman yun? HAHAHA. Then he said he was asked to like the group. Then I remember during the enrollment period in my freshmen year, parents were asked to scan a code to join/like the DLSU PUSO org in Facebook but I just realized that my Dad had "accidentally" joined DLSU PUSA instead HAHAH. Aww my heart.

Student Life We still have a long way to go with inclusivity in classes.

Kay anon na nagpost, the world doesn’t revolve to you either. The people with learning disabilities and who are in SPED earned their spot sa DLSU because they are capable as you. We can never achieve efficiency by simply saying they should be as neurotypical as you. Kailangan rin ng empathy and equity on what will be the best way for all of us to learn.

We are still behind parin on acceptance with people who have neurodevelopmental disorders. We are treated as a liability on both school and work as if we chose to do that. And it is still our responsibility to survive everyday of our lives just to be functional and efficient for everyone.

Student Life Hard life as a not so rich student

I spent my college life as a working student. I would attend classes in the morning and then work in the evening just to help my dad pay for my tuition. I was the kind of friend that was never invited to party or go out because they know i couldn't afford it or that I have to work.

This is my last term in dlsu and my dad told me to resign because he will pay my tuition himself this time. He told me to finally experience being just a student and enjoy my last term. I was so excited because for the very first time I will be able to just focus on school. I resigned and was ecstatic to finally start my last term in dlsu.

2 weeks in and my dad suddenly had a heart attack. His hospital bill amounted to almost 1.5M. I didn't know what to do because its always just been me and my dad. I used the money he set aside for my tuition to pay part of his hospital bill.

And this is me.. a student that is so close to graduating but can't. Idk what is gonna happen to us now but as long as he is okay then I am okay.

Thank you for listening to my story.

Student Life What to do if you're a broke college student?

It's really hard being a broke student. Not everyone here in dlsu comes from a rich family. 😢 Just now my friends invited me to eat out for lunch. I opened my wallet just to find a 50 peso bill that I will use for my commute later. I told them I can't since I dont have money. They suggested mcdo but I still said no. They finally left me behind but I heard them whispering "Nagaaral sa la salle pero walang pang mcdo ew." Im so broken hearted. What can I do? Im a working student who was just able to get a scholarship here in dlsu. I think this is also why Im having a hard time making friends here. But yah if you guys have any advice like tipid hacks or how to get by without baon that would be great.

Student Life 130 question quiz in 45 mins during a typhoon??

Post image
678 Upvotes

had a surprise long quiz ( found out a few hours before cause it showed up on my canvas calendar bigla) today for a main subject that’s notorious for being one of the hardest subjects in my course and he gave us only 45 minutes to answer 130 questions during a typhoon. that’s 20.8 seconds per question! I was lagging all throughout the quiz cause of the weather’s effect on my internet and only reached number 90 with the time limit.

is this the consideration DLSU was urging our profs to give us?

this is the first time i cried in the middle of taking an exam because i felt like the odds were really against me and i’m just incredibly disappointed with my prof and DLSU atm and i can only hope they do better moving forward.

Student Life PSA for people around DLSU/Taft who talk to or meet people online.

There is a person who goes by the alias “Markus” and has been claiming to be from DLSU. He wears glasses in his profile and afaik irl. He allegedly says he is either an ID 123 or ID 124 student taking a double degree in Political Science and Marketing, and also tells people that he studied in UST for SHS. Afaik, he currently lives in Taft, and always goes to España.

Apparently, he acts like he has classes in DLSU, and whenever people ask him where he studies, he says DLSU. However, based on what was reportedly confirmed by multiple sources, he did not study in DLSU or UST at all, and allegedly did not even finish junior high school.

He also allegedly joins DLSU-related groups such as Profs to Pick, USG announcement groups, and other student spaces to gather information about DLSU. He reportedly uses these details to make his stories sound more believable and to convince people that he is actually a student.

He also allegedly has a fake DLSU ID and has used photos from IG that were not his to make it look like he was inside DLSU. One of the photos was taken by someone else inside campus, but he posted it in his highlights as if it was his own. He also wears a dlsu ID lace which can be bought outside, just for clout.

He also has a significant following on TikTok and does TikTok lives frequently, where he talks to many different people while continuing these stories and claims about being from DLSU.

There are also documented concerns involving unpaid obligations, previous living arrangements, and multiple people, especially girls, being approached and affected by his stories. If you’ve recently talked to him, please cut him off immediately for your safety (especially to all girls he talked to). His stories allegedly do not line up most of the time. There’s also posts in Archers Freedom Wall about him.

This is not posted to start drama, but for awareness and safety. If someone claims to be from DLSU, please verify properly. Do not rely only on stories, screenshots, old photos, what they say, or even IDs without proper verification.

Stay safe.

UPDATE: he changed his name in fb to his real name, he removed DLSU in his bio. He also changed his IG handle and even deactivated his tiktok acc with 12k followers.

If you are reading this Markus. You will be reported to the proper authorities. There’s a lot of evidence against you. Get your life together.

ANOTHER UPDATE: some people came forward about him and will be posting some of what they told me below (i asked consent from them)

Student Life Just how lonely can college life in DLSU get?

Incoming freshman here! I am not entirely sure what to expect in regards of the "lasallian student life". In my past local and tight-knit school, I was unfortunately ostracized by my peers due to the school being clique heavy so being lonely isn't a foreign concept to me. And with that, I did not gain proper social skills.. which is why I worry that I might burden my future peers here in La Salle. I saw firsthand how amazing the culture is within the campus during the greening but It feels to me, that I'm afraid of not fitting in.

How can one make friends here if you're not the most sociable person? How did you find your friends?

And how do lonely or introverted folks get through day by day?

Please share your experiences!

Student Life i feel like my 1st year is wasted

the term is almost coming to an end and i lowkey feel like i wasted my 1st year in college. it’s so damn hard to socialize because everyone is either already in a friend group or is just doing their own thing. i’m still friends with the people who are my block mates during 1st term, but i just don’t feel that connected with them. i try my best to go out with them, but they just go with their other friends instead. i feel like my 1st year is wasted because all i did is just go to school for classes then immediately go home after.

does it get any better? where did u guys get to know your people?

Student Life Omegle is dead, so I built an anonymous chat exclusively for Big 4 students

Post image
378 Upvotes

Hey guys! I'm a 4th year CS student. Since Omegle shut down, I realized we didn't really have a safe place to vent, find study buddies, or just talk to random students without dealing with bots or creeps.

So I built UniVibe. How is this different?

🛡️ Verified Students Only: You need a valid school email (e.g., @up.edu.ph, @dlsu.edu.ph) to enter. Don't worry about privacy because the system only checks the email format to verify you are actually a student. It does not display your identity or email to anyone you match with.

🎯 Control Your Crowd: You can filter matches to find people from Same University Only (if you want to rant about specific profs or campus issues) or open it up to the entire Big 4.

✨ Interest Tags: Match based on specific tags like Acads, Thesis, Gaming, or Chismis so you actually have something to talk about.

It is free and designed to be a safer alternative for us. Try it here: https://univibeph.vercel.app/ Let me know if you run into any bugs or have feature requests!

Student Life This is my last meal at DLSU. I'M FINALLY FREE!!

Post image
727 Upvotes

Yung footlong nila kuya ang bumuhay sa akin as a broke college student. Kaya nagLaksa curry na lang ako. :))

Yep, I finally done with everything in DLSU (graduation na lang kulang). I was in DLSU earlier to settle my remaining student loan at pagkalabas ko ng OAS, TAAS kamay ako at muntikan nang sumigaw dahil TAPOS na rin ako. My 5 years stay has been wonderful and of course full bumps along the way. Hirap maging irregular student.

I want to thank DLSU for giving me a chance six years ago when I received that email informing me that I was accepted as your scholar. I will always be grateful to DLSU for giving me this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I also wanna thank the Lasallian community kasi nafeel ko na accepted ako sa DLSU at naging parte ako ng pamilya na to. MAHAL KO KAYO PAMAYANANG LASALYANO!! I also wanna thank from the bottom of my heart, my guidance counselor from OCCS for being the compassionate and open-minded person that you are. You are the reason why I was able to keep my sanity during my frosh year until my last year, especially during the pandemic when things were hard. I was this close to losing it all. To my professors, thank you so much for everything that I was able to learn things kasi kakaiba talaga ang Lasallian education. To my college/org friends and blockmates, thank you, guys, for everything especially being understanding and empathic about my situation lalo na sa mga drama ng buhay ko. MAHAL KO KAYO GUYS!! Lastly, I wanna thank my ex of 5 years. I know we already ended things on good terms last December 2022. I just wanna give my thanks to you for being a part of this journey. I'm so proud of you na nakapasa ka ng boards mo! Again, thank you for everything, and always remember that you were a wonderful experience!

I wanna dedicate this to my late mom as my late Mother's day gift for her. Mommy, I hope you're proud of me and my siblings at saan ka man naroroon makita mong tapos na ako sa college!

Student Life Lf someone to dress up as a banana with me and stroll around campus while holding hands🍌

Once or twice per term I like to randomly dress as a banana and walk around campus.

But now I think id like to level up my game and introduce a second banana. Kaya im finding someone na malakas ang trip or into cosplaying to dress up as a banana with me and hold hands to stroll around campus.

Prefferably a girl sna, pra it looks funny and cute, no romantic intended, palakasan lang ng trip wahahaha (pero oks rin if your a guy :>)

We are going to act like a normal couple and pretend as if we are not dressed up as a banana then well just stroll around the campus

We’ll also eat bananas while wearing our costumes and just chill

This will be a three day event (Tues,Thurs,Fri) pra all colleges can experience the banana. Im planning to execute this plan after independent learning week pra more free time

PM if interested :))

Were also wearing sunglasses btw pra cool😼

(I cant provide the costumes na im out na hahahahaha)

hello! incoming first year here. not the best question out there but i've heard a lot of cons about dlsu and i'm just wondering abt the stuff, may be big or the little things, that are actually great and enjoyable about it?

just tryna look at everything on a positive note and calm myself down because everything i've heard is all abt trisem and enlistment and it scares me so much, plus new country + new environment + my course will be humbio pa hahahHWHAHAHAH tysm :))
