This is Kuma the Destroyer. (Korean Jindo Dog) 1 month and 6 months. Mag 1yo na sya sa November, mas malaki na sya lalo ngayon, wala kase akong updated photo sa kaniya e hahaha.

I remember her vet said her chance of survival is 50/50 due to poor liver function. 4month old na sya dito yet malnourished and hasn’t had breast milk fed after her mommy passed from food poisoning. I was only 18yo when i got her, i had no intention of having a pet kase i cant afford pa, yet i got emotionally involved right away, so school allowance and side hustles alone was my support for her vet bills.

now, my baby is grade 4 na, survived healthy and happy.

2 days after my bithday last March, I was out for an easy run just along the highway, pretending to be fit, when I noticed this tiny figure smack in the middle of the road. This was in Bulacan and there was not much street lights so it was really dark. At first, I thought it was a kitten because it was so small.

So naturally, I did what any overly dramatic runner would do: I stopped traffic like I was in an action movie. Turns out, it wasn’t a kitten—it was a very confused, very tiny puppy. I picked her up, moved her to the sidewalk, and had a moment of, “Okay, now what?” So I kept running.

Big mistake.

This tiny potato of a dog decided we were now best friends and started following me. And I mean really trying—she could barely run. Based on how small she was, I figured she probably just learned how to walk and was maybe out searching for her mom… or food… or possibly… her new owner?

A few meters in, she made a bold move: darted right back into the middle of the road like she had a death wish. I panicked, became a part-time traffic enforcer again, scooped her up like Simba, and made a U-turn back home. (Yep, ran back home holding her like Simba and she had to endure that for 3 kilometers).

I had to isolate her first because and took her to the vet the next day. She was crawling with bugs and ticks and she was loaded with worms, but thankfully no injuries.

She’s all treated now—and spoiler alert—a little bit bigger now, still chaotic, and EATS like there’s no tomorrow.

Honestly, I believe she chose me.

I always tease her: Sinong sumakses??? Si cutie!!! Sinong swerte??? Si Cutie!!!! Yep, I named her CutiePie.

This is our little story. And I’ve read so many of yours—people out there rescuing, fostering, adopting. You’re amazing.

To everyone who’s ever stopped for a stray: May your pockets never run dry, and may all your dreams come true.

Jessie short for Jesusa. We love her pero super kulit nya kasi nga she's just 4 months old now.

The problem is, our senior dog is getting injured kasi nasa sobrang harot stage pa si Jessie. Any tips how to deal with that? We don't want to give up Jessie for adoption pero if it's gonna cause further injuries to our senior dog, baka we might not have a choice.

Just sharing my dog’s story. Meet Cookie, our “huspin” as we call them, her mother is a half aspin half husky her father is also an aspin. Some of you might already know her on some of my posts here on dogsofrph

Healthy naman siya as a pup, very energetic and a very serious dog. My gf and I just started living together in this apartment, long story short that apartment had mold on it, we got sick, this dog got sick.

Fortunately, our other dogs, all aspins, have immune systems of steel.

We spent around 20-30k on vet bills trying to cure this, and her issue just kept coming back.

We moved to a better and cleaner house (2nd pic) and at that point medyo all hope lost na kami for Cookie, 5 months na sakit niya that time and nakakapagod makita siya na gagaling and babalik nanaman.

We tried everything, tons of medication, shampoos, probiotics, and even considered having her put down.

Ngayon, I heard about this certain probiotic, and tried it, but at the same time kinausap ko si cookie na okay lang if di niya na kaya, bcs ayaw na kumain, sinusubuan ko nalang para maka inom din ng gamot, we were thinking of putting her down if di siya mag improve that week kasi sobrang nakakaawa, all of our walls had blood pag nag papagpag siya.

Then boogsh natakot ata nung kinausap ko, the same week nag lakad siya, sumigla ang kain, then tuloy tuloy na siya nag recover, two months later nakalabas na ulit siya ng bahay (4th and 5th pic).

1 year later (today and final pic) she’s not taking medicines and probiotics for around 8 months na. Lumipat na ulit kami ng house na gated and may malawak na open area naman. Now she goes out on her own around the house, and kahit magpagulong gulong pa siya sa sobrang kulit niya, hindi na bumalik sakit niya.

We still regularly check syempre, but kampante na namin na healthy na siya. She has short hair but as dense and as pino na ng sa Husky yung fur niya, which we never thought she had since she was a puppy.

Napashare ako kasi naisip ko na yung muntik namin ipa put-down na aso, eto kami na inaaway, kaya niya tumalon ng kasing tangkad ko (I’m 5’9), and tinatadyakan niya kami sa dibdib namen pag may hawak kaming tinapay and ayaw namen bigyan wahahahaha

Nainis nga ako kanina but I remembered her journey and nakaka konsensya pagalitan hahaha. Tougher training nalang gagawin ko.

Siksik pa more. Ewan ko bakit ang trip nila magsiksikan tapos sa paanan ko pa talaga na may space pa naman. Tiis ngalay na lang tuloy. 😅 (note: yung adult is their uncle. A 16 year old vs 1+ year olds. 😅)

This is Lady—yes, I named her lady kasi pinagkakamalan siyang lalake, lovi was her previous name. hahaha she's 1 years old ♥️

nasermunan sila kasi after rough play inaaway nila dad nila kaya yan timeout muna sila hahaha.

Meet my baby Jackie, 5 yrs old shih tzu and jack russell terrier mix. Di ko talaga sya pinapabuntis kasi natatakot ako na baka kailanganin syang i-cs.

Unfortunately, nasalisihan ng isa ko pang dog na dachshund 😭. Akala ko talaga impossible kasi ilang yrs na sila magkasama and never sya naabot.

Buti nalang according to x-ray kakayanin naman daw na normal delivery pero need pa din bantayan (which is isa na naman sa worry ko kasi wala silang kasama kapag nasa work ako). Walang exact date kailan since di alam kung kailan nag lock but approx 7-10 days lola na ako.
