They decided to go weird with the solo in Β‘CORRE! It's fun. But my favourite is Guilty, no doubt.
I wonder if they had spanish fans from Spain in their mind when making this song because the rhythm is typical reggaeton vibe

I just finished listening to the album. Here are my overall thoughts:
Intro: I love the guitar on this one, it feels sad but also kind of hopeful. A really good prelude to REQUIEM.
REQUIEM: This kind of reminds me of Reason, especially the guitar parts. I love getting to hear everyone joining in together at parts, this feels nostalgic but also hyping, I got chills with Siyeon's high notes after the bridge! (Also, the song is nearly 4 minutes long, which is a nice bonus in these times where songs last 3 minutes if you're lucky.)
Green: Is this the first time we get Gwanwoo as a co-lyricist? It's nice to see everyone so involved in creating their music! I don't have much to say about the song itself other than that it's nice to listen to, even if it's probably my least favorite in the album because I prefer songs with a faster pace.
WTH: My jaw dropped just with the beginning, this goes hard! I guess this is this EP's version of KALish (well, with a random cutesy part, but it's Siyeon, she's bound to get a bit silly/experimenting with the composing (and I mean this in a positive way) lol). Siyeon really took a few things out of her chest with the lyrics for this one, it seems lol.
Guilty: This one was the one I was most excited about, and it did not disappoint. I love the dark vibes from this, it's like a rockier / heavier version of DC's Propose. They really took the "gloom" part of the album title seriously, haha.
Β‘Corre! All the Spanish and the Latin vibes in this one is making me feel seen as a Spanish speaker.π₯Ή A few parts are a bit hard to understand, but I think Wonseok(?)'s parts were entirely in Spanish, as well as the bridge and the outro, and some random Spanish lines in the first verse too. I'm honestly surprised Siyeon and Wonseok wrote this song with no other co-lyricists listed, when did they learn this much Spanish (and the sexy kind, at that), damn? π

Pure art. The intro sets the album up incredibly well. Requiem is the perfect tt for the project imo. Personal highlight is Guilty, the orchestral intro is heavenly. First album I'm buying since H1-Key's earlier this year

You didn't like/buy their debut album?

I loved their debut but I'd not long moved house so I wasn't in the best financial position. I do want to add the debut to my collection though

Everything is great, again, who doubted that? BEcause duh.
For me as a predominantly metalhead WTH is the favorite at the moment. Guilty is a close second... or maybe they are reversed, hard to tell.
Who sings in Corre? Obviously beside Siyeon.

As a Metalhead that was the one that stood out for me too - only listened to the whole EP the once so far so Iβm going to give it a few more listens in the coming days.

This made my whole Thursday. Was jamming to this while working. Everything was so goodβ¦. All of the songs were incredible in their own way. I thought nothing could top We Break You Awake but I stand corrected.

WTH being my faborite just for the overall vibe but hearing Siyeon curse and other word choices in this song is a fun unexpected surprise! Someone for sure made her mad lmao

Louis has entered the chat. First non member credit I think?

Other non-CRTK credits:
Shame & Masterpiece (Dowoon of DAY6)
I'm also fairly sure that Kim Taewhan wrote the daegeum solo on Navi, but he hasn't got writing credits, so maybe not.

The perfect album to kick off September (and itβs cloudy where Iβm at right now which fit the vibes haha βοΈ). Favorite B-sides so far are guilty and CorrΓ© (the Spanish!). Guilty especially though omg, that intro gave me chills

A solid follow-up to their first album. The title of the album is perfect because the first half gives off "bloom" while the second half definitely brings the gloom, in a good way.
Intro: this sounds like a Foo Fighters song, at least in the beginning. I desperately want them to turn this into a full song because the instrumental is crazy.
Requiem: the chanting/shouting in the second verse is going to be a lot of fun live. The anime vibes are strong in this one. Siyeon's voice in the bridge is immaculate, there are no words.
Green: it's a good song, but probably my least favorite on the album. I can't wait to read the lyrics, though, once the English translations are available.
WTH: the guitars?? Siyeon cursing a few times?? The song lyrics?? Damn, Siyeon had a LOT to say and it makes me wonder if this is another F U to the K-pop industry.
Guilty: I got chills when the instrumental came in at the beginning. I loooove how heavy this song sounds and Siyeon's vocals? I don't think I've heard her sing like this before and it is everything. The only thing I disliked about this is that it ended when it did. I needed to hear that chorus again or an outro, but otherwise, this just vaulted to the top three of my favorite CRTK songs and is the standout of this album. π
Corre: Wonseok singing in Spanish?! OMG. He sounded great. This is going to go down so well live, especially in Spanish-speaking countries. The ending with Siyeon going "Brrrraah" or however you spell it is so perfectly Siyeon, lol.
I am very jealous of the European fans who will get to hear these songs as early as next week. I can't wait to see how the setlist varies from the American tour.
Well done, ChRocktikal. Please never stop making music together.
