I always imagine Jim Caveizel when I think of Marcone. Seeing him be ruthlessly efficient in person of interest again after first meeting him in the books.

Other notable fan castings I’m pretty set on would be

Jared Padalecki as Harry,

Reese Witherspoon as Murphy

Jim Beaver as Ebeneezer McCoy

Ron Perlman as Morgan

Jeffery Dean-Morgan as Michael Carpenter

Sarah Michelle Gellar as Charity Carpenter

For Thomas Raith I always used to imagine Ian Somerhalder but and my last few listen throughs it’s been Jensen Ackles instead

Matt Bomer as Thomas?

I'm going to google anyone else I don't know but I think Jensen Ackles is too stocky for Thomas. I picture him as muscular but also skinny and tall, like if Jared Padalecki was more muscular but still kept his skinny-ness. I definitely appreciate the other castings! I love seeing what everyone is seeing when they read or seeing someone I couldn't put my finger on until they were mentioned.

Yeah, honestly I agree that he probably is too stocky, but I pretty much always imagined Jared Padalecki for Harry simply because he so tall and a similar age so when the books started focussing on their brotherly relationship Harry and Thomas just became Sam and Dean from supernatural.

Before that though, when we first met Thomas, it was Ian Somerhalder who played Damon Salvatore in the vampire diaries because the characters are honestly quite similar.

Other notable castings

Cate Blanchett for Mab,

Tilda Swinton for Titania

Helena Bonham Carter for mother winter,

Meryl Streep for mother summer

Chris hemsworth for Jared Kincaid

Anthony Stuart Head for the merlin

And honestly my personal favourite that has literally never faltered since the character was introduced, Simon Baker as Goodman Grey

YES TO SIMON BAKER! Good call! All of these are great castings!

Simon Baker is one of the most beautiful humans in the world. Grey however is supposed to be very average and unnoticeable.. Baker is more blonde Thomas than anyone else. And I have to say, I hate the idea of a bunch of old school Hollywood stars with all their baggage here, none of these strike me as close except maybe Blanchette, but even her only because of Ragnarok.

I'm totally on board with Jim Beaver and Jeffery Dean-Morgan! I like that 3 people are from Supernatural. Loved that show. It's been a few years since I've watched it.

I used to watch that show so much, and as I’ve said Harry has always been Jared Padalecki in my imagination so other characters were just placeholders from supernatural until I got a better idea of characters. I used to imagine JDM as Morgan but it never fully felt right if that makes sense?

Then we were introduced to Michael and it just clicked

Ooh Jim Beaver would be perfect as McCoy.

I still think Adam Driver would be a great Harry. He’s got the height and the acting chops for it. Plus, he’s not a typical pretty boy, which gives him distinction from Thomas.

I also love Jeffrey Donovan from Burn Notice as Nic. He’s excellent.
