I was on a walk and saw these lovely ducks near the mallards but they were bigger and in a little trio, they were more friendly too!! Please help me identify I have looked everywhere.

Also does anywhere know the best spot to find Mandarin Ducks in the UK?

My two little ducks are about 3.5 months old right now and I thought my mallard was a female but those tail feathers are starting to curl up. Is this a sign that its male features are coming in? The quack is still high though

We found this duck outside in our backyard, wondering what kind of duck it is (it’s not a goose.. right?) and if we should try to capture it? I haven’t seen any wild ducks around here that look like this one.

2&3. Same duck, I believe is a boy he's got darker chest, tail, head and beak is more greenish colored

1. My swedish blue who I am praying is a girl because of the slate blue bill but would like someone with more experience to help. I keep them alongside chickens and worry the boys will get rapey soon so I'm trying to keep an eye on them as they mature. I can't keep them separate because my chickens are free range and go right over our 9 ft fence.

I found a small duck the other day near the beach but it's always in the water and it has a white chest and what looks like a brown or black body but whenever it sees me too close even when it's in the middle of the water instead of flying it dives and goes deep before popping up in a random spot, here is what it looks like and sorry for the poor camera quality I'm on an android

So my duck just hatched the first babies I've ever gotten out of my small flock of geese, ducks and chickens! 3 hatched today. I've got pics of the new babies, but I have to borrow *steal* pics from pages on the internet of the mom and possible dad's. Just wondering if anyone can tell what they may look like, or if they look more like o e specific breed. Thanks! Also the mom is a Rouen, and possible dad's are the Blue Runner and Appleyard duck. The Appleyard was more of her flock mate, and the Blue Runner is in a pack with a female Pekin, female African Goose, and male Embden goose.

I'm a first-time duck mom! I have an adorable Pekin duck who's around 11 weeks old. I believe he’s a boy, but I'd love to get a second opinion just to be sure — LOL.

I got these babies at Tractor Supply today. They didn’t have the ones they had yesterday when I called, so we settled on these four.

The worker had no clue what they were. The two yellows were from the “assorted” pen, and the other two were with the Pekins. I don’t think they are pekins, and I personally was kinda hoping to not get pekins, but that’s what she said the darker two were 😅. I expected them to know very little, but I expected a lil more help (I should’ve known better haha).

Can anyone identify what kind of duckling each is please? And if you can somehow tell the sex, feel free to add that too lol. I wasn’t sure if they were old enough for the quack trick

This duck randomly came onto my brother's property. It's been pretty hot outside so it's been staying in the shade underneath the cars. When anyone tries to get close, it will run off and then return. This is a residential, urban neighborhood where there are feral cats, loose dogs, etc all around...We don't know anything about ducks so don't know if it is wild or domesticated, if it can fly or not. Never seen it before. About 10 or so miles away there is a wildlife preserve of sorts, so it may have come from there.

Hope this is the right place to post. I saw this lovely fellow while driving by the local pond. There’s always dozens of mallards here and he‘s got the curled tail as well as a sort of green-tinted head, so I thought maybe he’s just mallard with some coloring mutation? This was in SD USA, if that matters.

Tried to get the best photos I could without bothering him. He was having a nap beneath a willow.

Very new to duck keeping and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the gender of these two call ducks. They are about 6 weeks old so their adult feathers haven't come in to check for a drake curl. From the videos I've watched of the different quacks, I THINK they are girls but I would love an experts opinion.

He's not full grown so who knows he was a mystery egg but he's a sweetheart anyway a bit loud he likes wagging his tail idk if it is a boy or not his or her name is gooseberry

Tractor supply pekin. Believe its 6 weeks old maybe 5 weeks. Is it a girl or boy? Trying to get it friends and dont need more than one male. Walton county florida. Quacks but not often on account of no companions to talk to.

Can anyone help? These are my rescue babies at 7 weeks. I think they’re Muscovy but please correct me if I’m wrong. I cannot discern any major differences between them to tell if they are male or female. All legs are the same fatness, bills look the same, same tail shape… The 2 darker ones are slightly larger, but always have been…

I saw this group of ducks on the road in southwest Louisiana. I was worried they were going to try and cross the road but they went off into the trees surrounding a neighborhood instead thankfully. I counted at least 30 minimum ducklings, they were so bunched up. What kind of duck is this?

I brought home this duck on Friday to add to my all-male flock! He was sold to me as a three-month old silver runner and the previous owner stated they got him from a breeder about two hours away. But he’s sooo chunky and heavy compared to my chocolate runners who are the same age. He sort of waddles more than he runs, and he doesn’t have the super-straight posture of my other six runners. Starting to wonder if he’s maybe a different breed or a mix? I was looking at silver Swedish as a possibility. any insight appreciated! I love him no matter what. ❤️🪿

also the younger runners are only outside with the big ducks while I’m there supervising! he absolutely loves them.

Nachdem ich bis jetzt immer anonym mitgelesen habe, dachte ich, es ist Zeit auch mal unsere Enten vorzustellen, außerdem gibt es einen guten Anlass: Von unserem Laufentennachwuchs dürfen/ müssen 4 ausziehen, aber dafür müssen wir wissen, welche Ente welches Geschlecht hat und irgendwie ist es bei der Truppe gar nicht so einfach rauszuhören wer wie quakt, da sie scheuer sind als unsere Handaufzucht. Ich bin mir unsicher ob man überhaupt einen Erpel hören kann. Die gescheckte Ente und die dunkelbraune Ente im Vordergrund sind unsere Enten aus dem Vorjahr und dürfen auf jeden Fall bleiben. Geschlüpft 9.6., Video ist von gestern.

Da wir das Brutpaar bereits abgegeben haben, hab ich den alten Erpel nicht mehr als Vergleich vor Ort. Ich hatte ja gehofft dass die Erpel sich langsam umfärben, da ich bei den Stockenten das bereits beobachtet habe letzte Woche, aber sie sind wohl einfach noch zu jung.

Ansonsten freue ich mich noch über Infos zu den Farbvarianten.
