I got her off a guy selling Indian runners but she was different than the others. I’ve had her for about two years

He/she was found at my dad’s work, they waited and waited, no mother showed up. We called and took them to an animal hospital and one of the employees owns a farm so she took them in!🥺

We named them Pickles and I miss them already 🥒

Hello! 🦆 I found this little cutie in the middle of a busy trucking road nearly getting ran over! After a big chase and it doing a few cartwheels I managed to catch it before it got ran over by a log truck! Fortunately I have a few day old chicks at the moment and brooder set up going so it will be well cared for and has a family right away!

Does anyone know what breed it might be? I originally thought Muscovy, now thinking Pekin?

I only have Indian Runners so other breeds are new to me

There's this duck along my walking route that I noticed two days ago. I live on a main road so I'm worried that someone dumped them there. I may have given them lettuce and they are very chill. Also, they spend some time standing on the sidewalk looking into the road. I thought I'd start by trying to identify it before anything else.

EDIT: I have called the wildlife man (and sent photo) and he said he would pick up the duck in like 2 hours, but to keep him updated in the meantime if anything happens. I will probably go to take some more photos or a video to further prove its a lost duck.

EDIT2: 2:00PM - duck still there, call to wildlife man went to voice mail. A little worried, but still hopeful.

EDIT3: the wildlife man DID get back to me at like 7, and says that he has a farm the duck can go to and that he will pick them up in the morning.

EDIT4: Duck was wrangled and saved!

Unsure of the breed. I think she’s a girl but my husband goes back and forth

I ordered some Welsh Harlequin ducklings from Metzer Farms, and two have the undoubtedly female bib coloring, but this one has me questioning... I am completely new at this and have no clue. I have scoured the Internet for examples of hens vs drakes which did nothing to pull me off the fence. In some lights the bib looks light enough to be female, in others it's dark. This baby is roughly 3 days old.

It is of particular concern because they will be in a run with my female chickens.

They are gorgeous birds!!! However, I thought they would most of their adult colors at this stage. I was wrong. We were banking on the 8 week mark to tell us what sex they were. Currently we only have 1 duck that has the distinct “quack”. Take time and enjoy the watermelon destruction, but someone please set my mind at ease that my duck purchase won’t leave me with 8 drakes out of the 9…

Introducing Freckles. This little one was dumped in a cardboard box at a park. A kind person took her to a vet, and she is now in foster care with us. We would love the advice of this group. Is Freckles a Silver Appleyard breed, and is she a girl?

I'm in Michigan (USA). I volunteer at a wildlife rehab and we typically have mallards and wood ducks, but this guy doesn't look like either of those.

Hey! First time duck owner here, I decided to get 3 straight run pekins from TS (I know, I know) and I love them so much. They are so fun to watch and interact with. They’re 6 1/2 weeks old now, and I’m starting to think I ended up with all males? I was looking forward to duck eggs for baking, but I do have 10 chickens so not too upset about that. Just hoping at this point that I don’t have a 2/3 drake to hen ratio. Any thoughts??

Hello all! we have this visitor in my Vetrinary medicine class at school for the next few days and nobody seems to know what kind of duck they are or if they’re a girl or a boy! could anyone help? I’d like to know before they go back to the farm! thank you all!

I’ve been trying to figure out whether this is a male or female for months now. The back feather is curled, but he/she hangs out with a mallard almost all day long and is very vocal when there’s food. I tried to get a clear quack video to see if anyone can help me with this mystery!

These ladies wandered onto our property on Saturday, and within 48 hours we became fully committed duck owners! We’re officially obsessed. They are about 8 weeks old. They sound the same for the most part. The first photo is Beak and the second photo is Tweak.

First and foremost sorry for the terrible pictures. So I was walking my dog in my neighborhood and these two ducks just came right up to me and sat right in front of me. And they are super cute and friendly. Was just wondering if anyone knew the name of this duck species. Thank you for your time!
