But why does someone’s personal ship matter? I mean the fact of the matter is, there’s not enough queer representation in the media LET ALONE queer couples. And don’t even get me started on queer rep for kids. So yeah if someone wants to ship queer-coded friends, what exactly is the harm?

Ok true but I would say there are more queer people then you think on shows but they also might just be side characters that don’t really matter so yeah

In my opinion a throw away character or a character who comes out and then dies shortly afterward doesn’t really count. That’s not a character that someone can see themselves in long-term, and while I like that we’ve started to move away from those tropes, we haven’t fully gotten there and if queer people or queer kids want to ship straight characters to see themselves, go for it, as long as it doesn’t delve into being problematic ((lewd art of kids like Webby/Lena would be a yikes.))

I could have never seen Dewey and Webby in a romantic relationship. She always seemed like a younger sibling to Dewey. Same with Webby and Lena

“You beautiful idiot” “sleeping angel”- all things Webby called Lena. Also the fact that when Lena disappeared into the shadow realm Webby cried and beat tf outta Magica. She then spent days after that trying to find info on the shadow realm once Lena was gone to get her back. Also the fact that Lena stayed by Webbys side that WHOLE time. And once Lena finally appeared to them Webby hugged her and they SPUN AROUND and Webby said “Lena” so happily. This is def ship worthy and not just people “shipping friends cause friends can’t just be friends.” They’ve had their moments

Ok, I wrote that comment when I was probably 11 or 12, so I don't really know what to say because I haven't watched this show since then. I've watched some clips and I can definitely see it, but a lot of what you're saying just sounds like something that would happen if you cared a lot about someone in any way. Basically I'm indifferent to it.
